Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
Wang also confirmed that if the meter is off, everyone will still see the green glow when you time it even without the meter.
I’m really excited for 2K20, but all of the stuff they’re doing with the shot meter sounds absolutely atrocious.

Maybe a lot of you guys would be more appreciative of this game. Majority of these threads just consist of people venting about their insecurities of the game and mask it with complaints about Mike Wang and the dev staff. No, you just suck at the game so deal with it. Go practice.Comment

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
This is obviously a plus to users who use shot timing. Using the shot meter is a crutch but you're complaining about players playing above their ratings as if ratings are not arbitrary anyway.
It sounds like you just can't stop people from scoring on YOU and that is nobody elses problem but YOURS. You need to get better at the game. Go practice and learn how to defend. Play myteam to truly learn what a contested shot is in 2k19 and when you begin to win more games, I guarantee you will read this post and be like, what was I thinking.
Don't blame Mike Wang for your lack there of when it comes to executing the games mechianics improperly. This bigger green window for non shot meter users is an excellent addition to the game so don't try to make it anymore than that.
Just get better at the game. Read these threads and realize that you may not be as good as you believe you are. It's not a diss but you and a lot of other people need reality checks instead of just coming on these threads complaining about your lack of skillsComment

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
Shooting ratings based on real life percentages
Athleticism based on combine data
Rebound ratings based on real life percentages.
Green releases guaranteeing makes. Badges, takeover animations. Those make the ratings arbitraryLast edited by Baebae32; 08-07-2019, 07:02 PM.Comment

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
It's not Mike but,
Zach Timmerman 2K20
@CHoops4Life
Some of the more "elbowy" post moves ... the ones that obliterate the defender during Takeover, were removed today. You'll see them in the demo, but you won't see them in the final productZach Timmerman 2K20
@CHoops4Life
Spins, drives, dropsteps, etc are still effective post Takeover moves (as are shots), they will dust defenders enough to give you room to make something happen, but it's more balanced. Less sending defenders off the screenJordan Mychal Lemos
@crypticjordan
Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
This social media age has really spoiled y'all. I actually miss the days where you couldn't communicate with the devs and just receive the product on release date. What you see is what you get.

I am sorry lol. It seems like one of these “type” posters come on here every year around this time lol.

Not sure how you made that olympic long jump leap there but I'm talking about both sides here, how ratings will be even further overridden than they already are for both bad shooters and good shooters. Never did I remotely allude to the game being too hard or too easy.
I'm not sure if you're saying that ratings shouldn't matter or that they don't, but I think most people agree that they should, particularly when playing with NBA teams.
But since you were able to determine I don't know how to play from reading my one post and you must obviously do, tell me, would me "getting better at the game" be to set Ben Simmons defensive off ball coverage to tight since my Philly opponent now has a "huge % boost" to Ben Simmons 3 point shooting regardless of his open 3 point rating?
Badges and in this case specifically, animations are what matter and thats ok right?
And despite making my own sliders every year, you just must be more of an expert than me. Please tell me what slider it is you use to make all shooting animations have the same chance of achieving an excellent release relative to their ratings.Die hard Heat and Dolphins fan since '89

Re: Mike Wang tweets about 2K20
Grand Badge sounds crazy. Just because he is concerned about them extending the green window he is bad at the game? Lol wow so guys really arguing for a game that is based on how perfectly you can hit square or X. That's not how real life basketball works great shooters shot Lee's then 50% from 3 but with green lights its possible to shoot in the 80% range if you know a jumpshot. Sliders or no sliders. Grand badge you're delusional you must have no life or you're a game dev that's butt hurtComment

Grand Badges = uses grinding hours on rookie mode to unlock in-game crutches.
Wrong person to argue with regarding this subject.
