I definitely can't disagree with you there. The build is definitely is a little bit OP, but since I just play rec casually with randoms, I want a build that can impact the game all-around. I'm also not the type to just spam threes all game, I actually want to play in the post a bit too. I just felt like this build best fit my play style, but I completely understand your gripe with it.

I hear you. It's not OP per se. It's just annoying. My matchup in my last game just worked on my nerves, because he camped out at the corners every possession. I tried to play the odds, but he was hitting at too high of a rate for my taste. Then I was getting double aggravated, because the PF on the opposite team was eating our PF alive on the inside with uncontested dunks and layups.

Has anyone ever gotten the lockdown defender takeover to pop up as an option in the MyPlayer builder when picking the pure sharpshooter pie chart?

I saw that the PF and C positions can get the rim protector takeover, but I wasn't able to make the SF, SG, or PG positions get the lockdown defender grand badge.

It would only make sense that you wouldn't. A pure offensive build, but can get a defensive takeover? I'm surprised the concept is not true for PF and C positions. Off the top of my head, I don't recall ever seeing a stretch 4/5 activating the Rim Protector takeover.

The one thing that I hate about GCL is that their 3PT rating is high enough that you're "forced" to guard them like a genuine threat. To me, if that's the build you selected, then you should only be allowed to block shocks, rebound, and get your points off of garbage. That's so annoying.

after all these shooting buffs a low 70’s 3 is auto if left open even with no shooting badges aside from quick draw

They need to do something, because there's no true risk/reward to the build when it comes to defending them on the perimeter. I usually give them 1-2 freebies in the corner, but I end guarding them due to them getting back-to-back green releases. I played one game where this GCL was keeping pace with me due to his 3PT shooting while I was scoring on mostly post moves and putbacks.

After a lot of attribute point tweaking, I discovered that you can indeed get 30 shooting badges, 15 playmaking badges, and 11 defensive badges with the best takeover in the game (lockdown defender).

How in the hell did you get that many 3PT attempts? That just blows my mind that a team's defense is that weak. No disrespect to you, of course.

Yeah so went back to my interior force.

Slapped gold quickdraw on him.

Only 2 dunk animations along with contact big.

Yeah dude is pretty much unstoppable on offense.

Even 7’3 rebounding rim protector struggle defending him.

Worst match up was another interior force that was 6’11.

Dude was beasting with hook shots.

With better teammates a triple double would be very easy to get.

Zone coverage makes things even easier lol

So I created a 6'8 playmaking SF LeBron build. This entire year I had a 6'7 Playmaking SF because I was afraid of not being able to equip the LeBron dunk packages since it required an 85 driving dunk and the limit at 6'8 was 83. So now apparently they lowered the dunk package to 80. Playing games with the 6'8 SF feel so much different and better at least for me how much difference an inch makes.

I've never been able to shoot well with this build but having the shooting badges help. With Myplayer nation gone it's gonna be a struggle getting them up quickly.

Do you find that your Interior Force dunks more with just the two animations? For whatever, my Interior Force is acting soft in the paint when it comes to dunks of late.

I started dunking better after rearranging my dunk packages according to that one topic someone posted here about how the order matters

I don't know why, but I've got this weird obsession with my Deep Range Shot Creator. It's oddly fun as hell with sharp takeover.
