After not using him for awhile, I've finally come back around to my two-way shot creator SG the last month or so of this cycle and have had a lot of fun playing with him.

WOW. I've had the EXACT same experience, with the EXACT same build. I wonder what changed to make the build more fun at this point.


To add to my earlier posts with real life examples, my ideal builds would be:

(1): Chris Paul, but 2-inches taller and 20 lbs heavier; and
(2): Scottie Pippen, but 15 lbs lighter

I swear he feels faster/more in control than he used to. He felt so painfully slow handling the ball when I was using him the first few months of the release whereas now he feels more like a DeRozan/Middleton type where they're just quick enough and in control enough to get where they wanna go.

And I've also found that the post-game on the two-way shot creator is a really nice counter to all the offensively-focused guys that are usually lining up at SG.

Those were fan-created concept art based on 2K19's current player descriptors.

Now, when we see more info about the MyPlayer builder and play the demo, those builds may be true but it wasn't a leak.

I expect a demo trailer or MyCareer next week. Hopefully they give a video of a dev creating a player with the new Myplayer builder. Hear the rumors about doing something similar to the 2k16 model. I wouldn't mind an expanded version of 2k16. Where less grouped attributes, so we can build an unique player and less chance of someone creating the same build as someone else.

I play the same way every year, 6'8 to 6'10 sf that plays along the lines of Carmelo but with defense lol.

Last year I made a point forward cuz they did it all..
2k19 I made a 6'10 shot creator cuz it was a great mixture of everything.

We'll see...but I have a feeling a slashing build might be real good..they added some good new badges and features

I saw on Twitter that Carson Edwards posted on his story a picture of the lineup screen showing that he was a 71 Deep Range Shot Creator. And that Tyler Herro was a 3 Level Scorer

Which makes me think that are builds will be based off how we choose to spread our attributes around.

Ok off topic and this might make me sound like a d***, but I think it's hilarious that people on twitter need an explanation of what a 3 level scorer is.

Hopefully those archetypes aren’t just for regular players. I know they want us to be able to create the player we want too. Only way they could do that is allow us spread around the attributes as we choose instead of choosing a pre-determined build. I would love if we could choose our caps. That would be dope. That way we fully choose our strengths and weaknesses.

Yeah, I’m not a hard core BBall fan but I thought that was a basic basketball term lol.

I can imagine them having a label like ‘Rim Runner’.

I want to make a Charles Barkley build maybe 6"5-6"6 about 240, quick, athletic, and can do a little bit of everything. A D-Rob/Hakeem hybrid would be kind of cool too.

My first myplayer build is either gonna be a 6-4 Stevie Francis Pg slashing-shot creator Or....

... a 6-0 Vinny Johnson pure shot creator. Long arms and good vert.

Without knowing how the MyPlayer builder will turn out, I feel it is too early to speculate. Even when I hear people talking about current archetypes system, we don't really know how the builder will be. I expect to get a MyCareer or Demo blog next week or at least the Monday before Demo.
But I want a Klay type of player. Versatile on defense, shooter on offense but without the shot creating ability or dribbling. But with a little more athleticism and dunking

In 2k19 that was the build I had, 6'8 lock primary, sharp secondary.
