I wonder if these teams will be available in Play Now Online? I might give the Indiana Fever a run. It might nice to play fundamental basketball and not worry about players getting stupid dunks off.

I'd rather have Highschool or euro-league teams than WNBA teams. In the WNBA you have like 1 dunk every 30 games, smaller balls, mediocre shooting, and horrible defense.

Theres more to basketball than dunking, and obviously you havent watch much of the WNBA if you think they cant shoot, and they play horrible defense. These girls play every bit as hard as the guys do, and in some cases play harder and more physical than some of the guys in todays game.

Ah yes. High schoolers have great fundamentals, and most of them definitely have the same strength and athleticism of fully grown adult men. It’s not like Zion is a rare specimen or anything.

Sounds like there’s a little more to it for you than not liking the league, just saying. Especially because you literally said high schoolers are more talented than WNBA players. Which is quite possibly the most ignorant thing I’ve ever read on this board. Keep in mind I’ve been lurking/posting here for over a decade. [emoji106]

He ain't wrong. Most top high school teams will beat the WNBA's best.
It's just a question of athleticism. Look at any good high school team, you'll find that most players can play above the rim.
In the entire WNBA there may be 3 and to say they can play above the rim is a stretch.
I don't mind the WNBA in the game, maybe some little girls might enjoy it, but I personally don't want to do layups all game. I'll pass.

Hopefully this leads to more layup animations. I'm tired of how slow the current layups are. Since WNBA is mostly layups, it'd be a shame for them to not be improved and expanded upon. If they do tho, it's gonna be a fun year in the paint

It's some real hoopers in the WNBA. Chelsea Gray, Delle Donne and Vandersloot are prob my fav to watch right now, but if you call yourself a bball fan and can't appreciate young Tarasi and young Sue Bird then you're really missing out.

A lot of my favorite male players aren't extremely athletic either so maybe that's why I can also enjoy the WNBA.

Don't think it's 100% confirmed yet, but one of the "influencers" at community day said that you can use WNBA animations for male players.

I feel like the jokes are funny the first or second time someone makes them (because they’re absurd), but once they get parroted by people with obvious misogynistic feelings you start to go from amused to tired to mad. It’s not a good look to like the game of basketball and constantly make harmful **** up about WNBA.

All for new modes and glad they put a season mode attached so they can get true metrics on whether it’s worth attaching assets to the WNBA. Many times they half effort and use these additions as “play only” and then don’t get a true reading on whether it’s worth it.

And lol at some of these responses though...I don’t think some of you understand what a good high school team would do to a WNBA team. I played basketball at a high level and this is all understood. It’s like our women’s World Cup getting beat by prepubescent boys in exhibitions but on steroids. Or what Braasch did to Serena and Venus.

I hope some of you guys don’t say these things out loud or around anyone who understands the game. Cringe.

Thats the thing. Someone made a short "kitchen" joke here and I chuckled. With that said, most of the statements made are clearly either someone being misogynistic or someone who wants to discredit the league. The WNBA has similar (sometimes better) ratings than the MLS. I dont see Fifa fans up in arms about the game adding MLS or the 3rd division in England. They either play with that league or they dont.

It should be the same thing here.
