Kudos to 2k for actually letting you play in season mode. They have the women's league in my Nba live but it's really useless to me if you can't play a team in a season. With that being said, I still would rather have international teams like an Olympic mode or the upcoming world games.

While I still don't think the VAST majority of 2k players will care one bit about the WNBA, it's neat that 2k was able to get a Season Mode in for it and it isn't just limited to Play Now. I'll still probably only ever play one half with the teams, I have absolutely zero interest in the WNBA, but at least it is there for the few that do follow the league.

Most likely will be next year. I think they would rather do the Olympics next year. Just like 2k17.

For 2 years, we told the live devs that we at least wanted a season/franchise mode for the wnba mode for variety, but they ignored the few willing to play live, focused solely on a streetball mode, and now 2k offers a much better version of the wnba, with superior gameplay, graphics, and modes in just their first attempt.


I don't like golf in real life, but I like playing golf video games, like everybody's golf. I think the wnba will be similar in that aspect for a lot of nba 2k players.

Im not gonna pretend to know if this will improve fan interest on a larger scale, but I can speak from experience. As a young kid, I learned about different leagues through video games. I didnt fully understand football until Madden, I knew nothing about baseball until Ken Griffey Jr. NCAA Championship Basketball on SNES basically helped me to understand the game of basketball better as far as rules and 5 on 5 spacing. Maybe for some kids, WNBA in 2k is that for them.

Like anything, its a matter of time if it makes basketball sense, as they say.

It takes time to implement things, but theyre always adding new things for us.

Im not sure why all of a sudden its supposed to be a cash grab because its new.

There is not a better platform for the WNBA to get more attention than this game, especially with the way 2K can put the extra splash on it.

As it stands the Big3 was getting higher tv ratings than some of their games, for different reasons.

Id like for more guys to get familiar with the players, and then see how they rip the other women apart in the Olympics. If youve never watched them in international competition you should. They'll make you proud.

There is a lot of talented woman in the WNBA, they aint some side show, as some guys seem to think. Some of them play harder and more physical than some of the guys in the NBA today, LOL.

I always love watching our woman beat up on the competition at the Olympics. I love basketball so, I dont care whether its male or female, if they play good sound basketball, Im going to watch. I use to get the WNBA league pass, back when the Fever were good and Catchings was still playing. But its just hard to find time to watch enough of the games with them playing during baseball season. Honestly if the WNBA was going on the same time as the NBA, there would be nights I would watch them over the guys.

I predict a 5%-10% increase in WNBA viewership next season. I know I will be watching, even though I've had little interest in years past. As a kid, I had a pair of Diana Taurasi PE Nikes, and they were my favorite pair of shoes. Ended up watching her play solely because of the shoes, and that's how I was introduced to the WNBA. Those shoes are the reason I know anything about the WNBA, and I see NBA2K having a much larger impact than we are expecting.

I have no clue who those people are....mind showing who that CAPS are with the real players? I want to see the female version of created players.

Also I doubt 2k was able to scan all the players. Pretty much like the NBA version where players downright refuse or just didn't get scanned because of plans that they can't get out of.

Speaking of Tamika Catchings, Seimone Augustus just matched one of her records tonight.

What record would that be, all that article says is she cracked the top 10 all time scoring list? She has a ways to go to match Tamika on the scoring list, as Tamika is 3rd on the all time scoring list. And I know she hasnt past her on steals, rebounds, blocks, or even assist for that matter.
