NBA 2K20 / NBA 2K21 - OFFICIAL TRIANGLE SYSTEM THREAD (CURRENT GEN)

Been watching some old vids lately and stubbles on this. Used to be “Triangle 54 Screen” on 2K11. A nice counter to the UCLA series when the 5-Man comes up to the high post. On 2K20 and 2K21, try using FIST 54 (PNR) to replicate this action. If your opponent is switching everything (*cough* NEXT-GEN) you can add a hand off to the exchange to with lag guard manually or try FIST 2 Give 12 (PNR) or Fist 25 Down and abuse them with the alley oop as the roll man will likely have a serious height advantage.

I swear I didnt notice this at all, it could be a variation they modified it for Kwame Brown to run more high pick and roll action

Yup defense thinks their just going to run a center opposite sequence because of the pressure (that’s why Kobe fakes the pass to the wing) and gets fooled each time. Thing I love about this offense is all the counters it has and how it can adapt to your personnel despite what some in the media says. RN I’m running it in a WNBA franchise on Next Gen with the Sparks and loving it. I just hope the freelance gets updated soon.

Speaking of the Center Opposite...




This is the correct action we need in Next Gen or at least set play call like this (Triangle 23 Pin from 2K11 aka Mamba Iso in ‘12 and ‘13) so we can add it to Favorite Plays so we can use it against pressure and zone defense. Look how much quicker the sideline triangle is formed and how the cut off the first pass opens the floor for the Backdoor play or 2-man game.

For a team with no true Point Guard it’s a no brainer. I’d like to see them use it to get some touches for Zubac early in games too.

Okay so, I just got the game yesterday in Europe and I got a few questions for yall if you can help me.

Are park records visible anywhere, because I just played in 5 game, won 4,lost 1, and it's not visible where they were last year and if you check on the players 2k card from your phone it says win percentage 1%?

Am I the only one that thinks the movement of the players seems way weirder than last year?

I tried to play a few games of play now online and everytime I tried it crashed in the middle with the message that there was an error and that the game won't be counted, what's with that?

What actions have you seen them running? I’ve seen some sets that resemble UCLA High post with Kawhi or Batum in the high post but the spacing on the weakside is not triangle. I think I saw something already in 2K that could be used. I think it’s called “twist” but I’ll have to check. I also so a little blind pig action but a lot of teams use a variation of that against pressure.

This probably what I would roll with right now if I were using the Clippers. A lot of them work best when Kawhi is at PF and used as a screener. Others with George as the play initiator. Weakside spacing isn’t what you would see in the real triangle ottense but Clippers spacing IRL is equally vile.
