I just went and checked my original build and backed out to the name screen and it does show my name on the first screen when I created my build. At least the game remembers me typing it in I guess.

Super annoying the name is gone and the fact that "Yancey" is now "inappropriate language" but wasn't during the demo or any other 2K I've ever played.

Even NBA player names can get flagged, not sure how Bryant is inappropriate?

I believe they posted the fix for 2k19 to me.

Sorry to hear your MyPlayer is invisible, however, we have a workaround!

Try this:

Create a new MyPlayer, exit, go back to MyCAREER and your file should be back to normal.
Once you reach the Nav Menu, quit to the main menu.
Load into the original file and it should appear.
Also, don't forget to check out our Twitter channel that we regularly update to get all the latest info.

Uhm that doesnt work anymore for 2K20 already tried it and even 2K support confirmed with me that this tric does not work in 2K20 only in 2K19.

He said the team is looking into it so for now I just continue with no name because i already invested my vc in this character and dont want to throw it down the drain. Lets hope for a fix soon along woth a fix for mycareer contracta because they dont work either

Yea bugs like this are silly but it's even worse when you play 5 games and don't get any rep or VC

Yeah...got the same Problem. We all have to write 2K, so they take it serious. That Looks so ****, if your Player has no Name on his Jersey...

Found a fix for the missing name/no name in MyCareer. If you still have the build that you used for your MyCareer available in the MyPlayer builder go to that same build and edit the build. Have to get to the name and position selection and input your desired name and it should transfer over to your My Career file.

The new patch fixed it for me, i had to create a new player and then directly enter the nba league after i exit and then loaded back up the old one and there it was my player now has a name. Finally no more nameless player.

Now i hope they fix the endorsement bug fast, so i actually get my store discounts and my free nike shoes
