im hot as fish grease. im strictly a MyGm player and this has pissed me off. i got the game thursday night and just been playing exhibition games and so far im digging it. if they dont fix this somehow im going to be really upset cuz i really dont want to play MyLeague.

always changing **** for no reason. whats wrong with these ****ing people! smh

We are in the same boat Since release I played 2 exhibition games, a little bit MyCareer (I don't really like it) and well that was it for me...

it was worth the money! 2 hours anti-fun

Who are the Devs working on these modes? Surely guys from the community like Vlad and others know how important customization is.

I’m praying for some smart enough comes along with an editor like REDitor. I’m miss being able to change anything I wanted in last gen from schedules to hidden players and coaches.

I haven’t got the game but are the mygm quarters only 6 minutes? Did I read that for real? You are locked to 6 minute quarters? Please say it isn’t so.

Yep that kills it. No custom rosters or draft classes removes the appeal. MyLeague it is.

TakeTwo's gotta get that recurrent spending in the game, i knew this was coming sooner or later, modes that don't revolve around in game spending are going to see a drop off in design and quality, and simply effort put into them, especially if its offline.


Its what happens when your owned by a company and CEO that's in the video game industry to make tons, and tons of money (greed) and not put out quality, consumer friendly games.

Per the blog, "the idea behind the change is to A) help simplify menus for newer players, and B) to make it really feel like you’re actively working to build up your control over the franchise. It’s not all going to be there for you day one as a general manager; you’ll need to earn the trust and improve the mood of everyone around you if you want to gain full control from the top down.

That's just lying. I have no control over MYGM when i can't set quarter length or any other options. What the heck is going on, are the CEO's @ 2K drunk or on drugs?

Just FYI that:

1. You can play MyGM offline if you want.
2. You don’t need VC to play MyGM.
3. You could use a custom roster last year in traditional MyGM
4. The MyGM settings and draft classes appear to be standardized to provide the same environment so you can compete against other MyGMs if you choose to under the same parameters.
5. You never have to look at the leaderboards if you don’t want to.

Aside from being limited by action points, the main difference is you can’t use custom sliders and game settings, draft classes or sim to the end of season.

That seems to be the biggest drawback.

My own personal solution to this problem is to play MyGM as a sim-only mode where I truly roleplay as a GM and thus it wouldn't make sense to play the games myself, and to play MyLeague to actually play the games. That's not ideal, but it allows me to cope with this issue.

Those are four very, very significant drawbacks. It comes down to limiting gamers options to play the game the way they wanted just to shoehorn a leaderboard setup into the game that nobody, literally nobody wanted. Whoever signed off on this at 2k made a mistake.

I think that’s probably what the mode was always meant to be.

Kind of MyCareer but where the goal was to upgrade your GM like crazy instead of a player.

I’m not saying I prefer it but the main thing I wanted to point out was you can play offline and you don’t need VC.
