Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
1. Hair isn't static, it moves when the player moves. Noticed it playing WNBA and noticed it playing with the Bulls that Coby White afro moves.
2. I like that rebounds aren't always automatic, that most times you seem them try to tip it to themselves.
3. Illegal screen slider. I maxed it out, I love seeing it called a few times a game, some times more depending on the teams.
4. 27 different dribble styles. Some players have LT, RT, LT + RT dribble modifier. Thing of beauty, it really does add variety to the game.
5. They did a much better job of explaining the different types of freelance sets on the UI and the fact you can change them is lovely. Just wish they allowed you to change them via roster editor though, that way you can just set it once for all the teams.
6. The new graphical signage they have during cut scenes, halftime and pre-game are nice.
7. The lighting.
8. Players skin don't look ashy or dull this year. -

I don't know if I'm imagining things but I think even Colby White has hair physicsComment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
-I love how they finally nailed player collision. Guys now bounce off each other perfectly, dependent on momentum and physics, not just static force-field animations kicking in. Defenders get chipped on baseline screens. On the PnR, you can push the screener out past his spot, and may even have it called as a foul. Those improved physics affect so many little interactions...it's beautiful to behold.
-I also like how the strips don't always leave the ballhandler standing there frozen for 3 seconds while the defender scoops up the loose ball. The fights for possession are amazing and varied.
-Love the kid dancers.Last edited by HMcCoy; 09-07-2019, 08:51 PM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
This warrants more testing but a moment ago I dived for a loose ball with Hersey Hawkins and was able to get rid of the ball while the animation was still playing out. For years you could press pass and nothing would happen until the animation was done. Felt more realistic (the pass wasn't particularly accurate, but it was responsive).
Also, so far, let me add lighting as a little thing. A lot of the classic courts from the 90's and 80's seemed to be stuck in the dark this whole generation but I swear Key Arena's finally looking a little bit vibrant again.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
The rebounding animations are nice. Clean rebounds have a lot of weight to them, in keeping with the work they've done on player motion and footplanting this year. Tipped rebounds look very realistic, too, and sometimes players will fail to hold on to the ball entirely and it will go out of bounds.
CPU pick and roll defense is the best it's ever been. Defenders will drop way down when appropriate and make it hard to abuse pick and rolls.
Fouls are back. Last year, there weren't enough fouls even if you cranked up the foul sliders to max. This year, I'm seeing plenty of fouls even on default.
The halftime show will actually display the court in real time in the background and you can see players walking back to the locker room as Ernie and the others comment on the game, which I thought was very impressive from a technical standpoint.
Layups are far more aggressive this year and I'm seeing a lot more hard fouls as a result.Comment

I do not know if this was included in the past 2ks but in mycareer you can move the right stick in defense to trigger a switch of defensive coverage.

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
- I like the new court angle shot with the crowd. This also shows a shot of fans walking out maybe going to the concession stands or bathroom break.
- More camera men on the side...always looked empty but now they have more of them sitting there
- I would like to say footplanting is nice but I'm seeing Twitter comments of speeding up the game. This may result in more slidey movements but still it's a nice to see it.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
Been loving this. If you attack the rim often you'll likely be rewarded with freethrows. You'll of course get blocked and miss some layups as well so it's not like the offense has all the advantage but it's definitely a nice change of pace from previous years. Hope 2k doesn't change anything here because this is the best it's been in a 2k game.Comment
