Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
Default Pro
In those three games, I beat the Knicks by 20, the Lakers by 2 (on last second free throws), and the Wolves by 10.
That Wolves one was an absolute battle all game long but they couldn’t execute in the last 4 minutes, we could.Last edited by UTAllTheWay; 01-02-2020, 10:03 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
I heard the commentary discussing the G-League's intention to move to Mexico City, which was just formally announced on Dec. 12 or Dec. 13.
Perhaps it'd been teased prior and that's what I heard on the 2K commentary but I swear they were talking as though new "blowout conversation" had been added recently.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
The scuffle is real! I have the Magic and Celtics in that first two minutes feeling out process, both teams trying to see the other's tendencies and gameplan. It is 2-0 Celtics in a Game 6 with the Magic leading the series 3-2. This feels like a playoff series where teams know each other well: No one is tricking anyone, just mano a mano punching each other in the face to see who will fall first.
The amazing thing I have not seen before in video game basketball? Jayson Tatum breaks out of the lane to spot-up for a three. I am controlling Johnathan Isaac and sensing I am a little behind and cannot give him any room, I right trigger to keep up. If I were to do this on a pick I might get a foul as the offensive player drew the charge. In this case, with no pick, just Tatum and Isaac, a "ticky-tack" foul animation is triggered: Isaac is called for touching Tatum in the back; of course, Tatum applauds the call.
Annoying? Hell yeah! Realistic? Hell yeah! Beautifully ugly? Hell yeah!Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
I'm sure I'm one of the last ones to the party but I had no idea the behind-the-back gather was in the game. Now knowing that it is, I kind of wish there was a way to do it on demand.
Also I'm still 100 percent in on these jump ball animations.

The behind the back gather is triggered by using the euro step. Could be tied to a lay up package or a rating threshold.Comment

This chest passing animation feels new this year. It's direct and fast and lets you get the ball up the court a lot quicker. I love it.

Didn’t realize how deep the control scheme is. Thought I knew everything the game had to offer. Reading through the controls in the 2KU section is eye opening. A collection of “little things.”Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
Yeah, passing is working quite well. My tenth-grade coach taught me the difference between an up-tempo offense and simply trying to run a fastbreak every possession (run-n-gun). I have been able to trigger an animation when holding and releasing "A" as opposed to tapping: It is kind of a shovel pass that goes toward the chest but is released just before becoming a chest pass. It has a lot of velocity. Reminds me a little of Kevin Love's outlet. This allows me to pressure transition defense every possession. As in reality, I have to bear in mind who is passing and pass distance or it gets ugly.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20: The Little Things
The buzzer beater presentation has gotten so much better. The camera gets a wider shot as the ball goes up and the background noise disappears. And the nice replay afterwards. This is definitely a 'big' little thing.
