Ign ripped it apart for the whole microtransactions gambling-gate(which is fine), but keep that same energy with other titles as well imo...keep the ball rolling

It's hard for me to give the game a good rating. I really like the gameplay (liked it better before they patched it) and it's great that 2k can provide a lot of modes so anybody can play the game the way they want to play it. The problem is none of the modes function like they should. The online modes suffer from poor servers and the offline modes like MyLeague continue to suffer from things like poor generated draft classes, tendency glitches, contract glitches, etc.

I used to love 2k, I've been a 2K guy since 2K7 and was a Live guy before that but the problem is that the game, outside of gameplay, rarely functions the way it's supposed to.

For what it's worth, currently, I am mostly playing MyTeam because I'm waiting on opening day rosters and I really am having a pretty good time with that mode.

Seriously all I want is good realistic gameplay, season and franchise mode , presentation and graphics. I dont really care about my park or this other stuff . Some work on rebounding , AI and we are golden

The Offensive Rebounds in Team Comparison menu are not adding up correctly. Team Stats is showing more offensive rebounds than are actually happening. If you add up the offensive rebounds from the individual player box scores at the end of a game, you will see that the team stats menu is adding more rebounds than are actually happening. It doesn't add more rebounds after every offensive rebounds occurs. But it does happen multiple times throughout the game. I made a post about this in the bugs/glitches thread and also tweeted Mike Wang about it.

The offensive rebounds totals are actually realistic at the end of a 12 minute quarter game. I've played 20 games already and thought that there were too many offensive rebounds happening until I figured out that it was a glitch.

Mid-range shots and 3 pointers are not going in enough in hall of fame difficulty. You become too dependent on just scoring inside to be able to compete. I've played over 20 games and was not able to shoot over 30 percent on average from the 3 point line like in real life. I set the 3 point slider at 55 and it's perfect. I shot 34% from 3 over 10 games. Realistic scoring is not achievable in 12 minute quarter games because there are too many field goals attempted at the end of a game even if you play at a slower pace.

10 minute quarters achieves the most realistic number of shot attempts. No matter at what pace you play.

10 minute quarters = 80's to low 90's field goal attempts
          11 minutes = 90's to low 100's
          12 minutes = high 90's to 110's average attempts.

At this rate, they're headed for a late August release by '21. This may seem absurd but I'd swear they're trying to compete directly with EA Madden for sales. On that same note, I'd expect Madden to release late July by '21 to continue to stay ahead.

This has already been discussed before...the NBA wants the game released by a certain timeframe, and they want a game released every year. BS aside, moving the release date is a moot point, since they've been releasing in September since NBA 2K17? A one year cycle is still a one year cycle no matter the release date.

I've only played for a couple hours, but I'm pretty happy with the gameplay so far. That being said, I'm kinda blown away that presentation was one of the positives in this review.

For starters, I've been ready for a replacement for Kevin Harlan for a few years now. He's been in the game for over a decade, and he doesn't sound in 2K like he does in real life. And while the game does do a good job if limiting dead air, it's all fluff; the play by play commentary is very lackluster. There's just very little awareness of what's happening on the court, and most of the time, the side stories have no transition; they just start talking about something for no reason.

The other issue I have with the commentary is that it doesn't sound like they're actually talking courtside. It is very obvious the recording was done in a booth and just muxed over the game audio, rather than sounding like they are actually at the game. The crowd and commentary are very distinctly not in the same location.

The halftime show has gone largely unchanged, which is terrible. The conversation between Shaq, Earnie, and Kenny are completely separated from the highlights being shown, and it doesn't look or sound like a real broadcast at all.

The 2K Sports Network needs to be retired. It's 2020; time to get a real broadcast package in the game, with logos, wipes, music, etc.

I'm still baffled as to how 2K hasn't taken presentation ideas from their own 15+ year old NFL game to put into their flagship sports game.

Reviewing this game should just say incomplete. There are too many issues to be definitive otherwise. The double teaming issue alone hinders gameplay so it will be unwise to say if it's good or bad at this point. Because you cannot get the full adjustments of the AI with that hindrance.

I wouldn't trust anybody review of the game at this point.

There is only one offline mode right now (MyLeague) if i'm correct. And don't even mention that MyGM mutated into something like a mobile game....

For me it's crystal clear: 2K lost earthiness. The greed and all the millions of dollars make them blind, complacent ... they need to re-concept the direction of NBA2K... They will lose more loyal fanbase...

All over the web very bad consumer reviews (Look @ Steam or metacritic)

I’m simply saying I personally judge a game on the 2 most important things..... graphics and gameplay....... those 2 things imo are the best they’ve been in several years if not ever, of course it’s not perfect but it’s very good.......when u start delving into the server dependent modes like park and MyPlayer etc then it gets sketchy I guess (I don’t mess with that)

Perhaps the main reason I passed on 2K20 is that animations are still robotic and the overall feeling of controlling "action figures" that somehow resemble the movement of real life players is still predominant. Despite this, I think there is a lot of promise in what 2K21 could offer with the next generation of consoles, as the game has improved and surprised us year after year.
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

What do you mean up pace of play?
There is way too much scoring in 12 minute quarters and you can attempt too many field goals. I had a game vs CPU on hall of fame end 145 to 135. That's way too much. That's not realistic.
