to me this game is really, really good, but my only complaint is when playing in the Timberwolves , as I play on the broadcast generic View, the fans still stand up blocking my view of the Court which is utterly ridiculous. 2K, this has been a problem for many years now and it is more than time for you to fix it.Comment

Bro it’s a generic camera that meant to be adjusted to your preference......raise the height a notch or 2 🤦🏻*♂️

Re: NBA 2K20 Review
Allowing any player to do the look away after a three is still extremely corny and cheezy.
The first picture with Kyrie doing an obvious And1 mixtape move is a violation and should only be allowed in park mode or whatever modes that aren't simulation. The picture is blatantly a carrying violation.
The players still don't play like themselves when playing the cpu. Shaq lays the ball up versus dunking 80% of the time. I've yet to see Kareem take a hook shot.
The body types are still not distinct enough. Shaq nor Wilt look that much bigger than other players.
The blacktop mode suddenly makes players faster than normal and breaks out into some of the dumbest dribble moves ever seen. There is more but I'm sick of it.DEEBOFIOUS

Re: NBA 2K20 Review
So...I got kinda mad today, all my files corrupted and I lost rosters and shoes. The whole game baselined to day 1 rosters and everything. Baseline gameplay.
Then.... I couldn’t believe how good the game was and all the animations, drives and kicks, post moves, pick and rolls, etc etc. Players played exactly like real life. Bigs were bigs and guards were guards. Tatum was Tatum and Kanter was Kanter, and Gasol was different than Kanter. The updates have definitely made gameplay worse. I will never update again staying day 1 everything. I’m obviously offline only.Comment

Re: NBA 2K20 Review
I bought this game on release day and I was initially very disappointed in the gameplay. Defense seemed incredibly skiddish and non-responsive and ball handling felt clunky. But either I just had to get my 2K sea legs under me (it'd been 10 months since playing 2K19) or some of the early patches really shook things up because about a week later the game felt wonderful.
Now, as an offline player, I'm loving it. One of my biggest 2K19 complaints was the brick wall, magnetized computer defense. I'd perform a logical basketball move that clearly shifted my defender only for them to warp back into a position that'd shove me back to the perimeter (and don't even get me started on 2K19's defense in transition). At times it almost felt impossible to play real basketball.
2K20 is the complete antithesis of 2K19 in that regard. I actually feel like I can take advantage of getting an angle on my defender and, even in the open floor, there's a sense of freedom of movement that sometimes actually reminds me of how it feels in real life to maneuver in the open floor in secondary transition opportunities.
That said, I'm still so-so with the dribble stick stuff. I have a hard time figuring out what's going to do what for each individual player, what with the modifiers and whatnot. I also seem to accidentally jump-hesi too often when I'm just attempting a simple cross. I'm certain it's my fault but I wish there was a better way to learn and understand what does what. I guess I just need more time with 2KU.
Also, as an offline classic guy, virtually everything outside of gameplay is the best it's ever been. The only thing missing is a dedicated classic mode (like the Jordan Challenge or 2K12's Greatest). And honestly, some kind of mode or at least individual goals/achievements for each classic team (i.e. score 48 points with Allen Iverson vs. 2001 Lakers) would really put things over the top.
But even without a dedicated mode, tons of formerly awful classic player renditions have been improved (Joe Dumars, Sean Elliott, to name just two of many). And authentic signature dunk packages (Kemp, Griffin, Jordan), signature layups (Jordan, Gervin), signature dribbles (Magic, Stockton, Isiah, Tim Hardaway), and signature celebrations (Kemp, Dikembe, Zo, LJ) give classics so much life. It's obvious someone at 2K has been tasked with just immersing themselves into fixing this stuff up and they're killing it. Even the options for classics to choose any jersey they want, the classic draft classes, and the authenticity of the jerseys themselves (right down to the name font on the back) has really been stepping up these last couple of years.
TL;DR - If you're an offline guy with an angle toward classic teams, this game is legit.
PS: Playing a WNBA season is pretty legit too. Should not be overlooked.Comment
