Re: The 7'3 speed dilemma(stamina is broken)
speed for a big should be different from like a PG, meaning, they can have the same speed as a PG or SG or what have you, but a 90 PG is not the same as a 90 C (big) for speed. Speed should be limited on the bigs, not trying to profile, but they should be restricted. This was not an issue on old 2k games. Except maybe on 2k12 before patch.Last edited by GisherJohn24; 09-30-2019, 03:08 PM.Comment

What about their vertical?

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)
Late contest on laups matter too much.
Random blocks doing pumpfakes.
Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.Comment

Re: The 7'3 speed dilemma(stamina is broken)
Hope ya'll happy. Now my 7'3 center moves around like a 500 lb walrus. And they didn't just nerf the running speed, they nerfed the MOVEMENT of the center. So his post moves are in slow motion. More overreaction by 2K due to overreaction by the community. People spend real $$ for builds that later get nerfed due to cryers. How is that ok.Comment

The gap is fine but Dribble stamina needs a nerf on REC, people abuse the fastbreak the whole game . Extremely fast tempo and No gatoradeLast edited by Nwordbelike; 09-30-2019, 05:50 PM.Comment

Re: The 7'3 speed dilemma(stamina is broken)
now i finally picked a good build to start the year off and it gets nerfed the day after I hit 95.
2k19 or 2k20, i think their practices are completely against the consumer.
We all tried our best to create a build we wanted to grind. I understand a nerf was required in some sense to address the issue, but nerfing builds which we have to grind so much time for is still straight bull****
remember when that 2k tool told us we would be able to respec?
I cant do what i did in 2k19 and just only play PNO player control because that mode is still broken
Edit:
i want balance but the way these patches are going this game will become 2k19 by december.Last edited by MakePostGreatAgain; 09-30-2019, 06:41 PM.Comment

Re: The 7'3 speed dilemma(stamina is broken)
Point is they keep messing with the builds and game so it's bait & switch. It's ridiculous for a company to spend a year of development on a game, only to cave to pressure / flawed feedback. If we're paying money, there should be some consistency for ANY build. Or how will ya'll like it when you base your build on this patch, and then next patch they nerf you. It's even more ridiculous and messed up when it's real money being paid. Or I guess we should all wait til month 6 until 2K finally figures out wtf they wanna do with the gameplay.Comment

Re: The 7'3 speed dilemma(stamina is broken)
ive had a chance to try out online and offline now
for online I played two games of REC
it seems they didnt change top speed very much. though my center has 46 speed because i didnt go max weight.
what i did notice was a nerf to agility or acceleration. I am a bit slower in a flat out sprint, but getting turned around or just starting to sprint takes way longer.
i felt like it was easier to turn my player around on defense around the rim. aka i dont get stuck putting my back to the ball handler when i help at the rim
also it seems they fixed the stride length. Feels and looks a lot more realistic in this way.
all around I actually think I like this update a lot.
Though thats because I dont think my build really got nerfed.
in principle i hate this stuff 2k pulls, given the time and/or monetary investment for grindingComment

Re: The 7'3 speed dilemma(stamina is broken)
haha. wow, that's pretty savage but funny. It's probably not 'right', but at least they are moving toward the right direction. I read dudes saying that they slowed 'normal' size bigs a little too much, too.
The real test will be how much ground they can cover under the rim/side to side. I don't think their speed was really ever that ridic, it was just the amount of area they could defend/rebound etc. Could practically go from one side of the rim to the other and stop people. Jump from in the paint and block someone's 15 footer.
Sooner or later, people will realize 7'3 is still the best due to the advantages it offers, you just have to have your bros cover for you for a sec on breaks.

Re: The 7'3 speed dilemma(stamina is broken)
I am happy. irrationally happy..probably more happy than you were when you thought you were good at the game. Now..you're probably sad..probably as sad as I was watching 7'3 monsters running past me on fastbreaks. Enjoy your nerf, my guy..it looks good on all of you. Here's a thought..maybe don't abandon your guy...learn how to use a gigantic athlete in a game that doesnt over-inflate your abilities like everyone else has been forced to do. You will still have the appropriate value for your vc now. There's a reason nobody wants to be boban marjanovic when they grow up.
You the one with the tears now lol.
If you know how to defend the post nobody can score inside on you even if the height difference is 3-4 inches. Defense is king again this year if you have ~8 def badges.
This patch barely affected top speed; i am convinced they only noticably nerfed agility. Speed difference is barely noticable unless in transition.
Also im just as slow as other max height centers though i am way lower than max weight; so they havent addressed the speed issue completely. Ive got double the speed of those max weights, but theres no advantage for me there.
we can all cherry pick things to try and assert our point, but you dont have to be that way about it. You just sound like another crazy guard who only plays in park and complains about realismLast edited by MakePostGreatAgain; 10-02-2019, 02:09 PM.Comment

and yes I will confess bigs need nerfing when it comes to defensive intimidator badges combined with gold to Hof rim. and a pretty good inside def rating.
its one thing to play solid defense vs someone who doesnt know how to go to work in that post. but when you run into people that know how to use post moves, fakes, etc. they should STILL be able to score on highly rated defenders badged up. Why? because thats what happens in real life.
basketball the real game of basketball have always had great defenders. could they slow guys down? sure. could they stop them? not the stars.
the problem is, these defenders are stopping stars too. thats the unrealistic issue i dont like. i didnt say making it hard for stars. they are shutting stars down. i'm not talking about high rated dudes who dont know what they are doing on the sticks and only are rated high due to badge glitching and ratings glitching. i'm talking about people with real stick/post move skill in that paint. this game does not honor that ability.
So in essence the post game is completely nerfed. so the only paint scores you're going to see are put backs and fast breaks into the paint.Comment

Re: The 7'3 speed dilemma(stamina is broken)
I love all these clowns putting us down with such heated words. Yall get clowned on by max height because thats what most of the tenured myplayers pick.

Try to recall correctly that this man/woman was calling people "cryers".
You give heat, you get it back. If you made a big and you're legitimate in your concern and are respectful, you will generally receive the same thing back. You call people "clowns" lol and you truly don't understand how you're presenting yourself or you are attempting to get a lil salty. Truth of the matter remains the same. You're NOT going to be as dominant, end of discussion. I like that, you don't seem to have a problem with it. You're only problem, in my eyes, is that you don't like a lil fire lol..but wanna give it. I accept your low key fire, my man lol...bring it, baby..but try to present an argument that we can discuss. I think what you're saying is..."you're all salty cause bigs dominate..but don't worry cause we still can." Good, I want you to bring it..I want you to have strengths that make you a problem, I am all for that. My main point is two fold:
1. The investment is better balanced for MOST players now.
2. If you come out calling people "cryers" or "clowns" get your umbrellas ready cause it's about to get rainy in this bitch.
I got no hate for any of you, and I'm certainly ok with a little mud slingin in my direction..but we are all discussing the 7'3 speed dilemna. 2k nerfed the agility and top speed enough for me to lose 2 games out of 28, instead of 20 out of 28 lol. I've been playing 2k long enough to be average enough to know when im getting booty grabbed by the game's unbalanced meta and I am happy that they have addressed that. There have been many 2k build exploits over the years...everyone can agree that we would all like each other to have the same investment value, yes? I think we are getting much closer to that..if they nerf my build and it's sensible, I will not be the one to complain, I promise you that. You don't seem to have a problem with that, which I like..I think you just need a touch thicker skin, especially if you're going to toss around insults while you voice your displeasure with other's semantic choices. I never insulted you or anyone else. You both did...and NO...the longest tenured players are not all 7'3 cheesers..there's no 1 build that you can speak for as a representative for all players. It's quite obvious you like to argue OR...MAYBE..you got nerfed just a little more than your heart can accept lol.
ps.. i like to argue tooLast edited by osk9; 10-02-2019, 06:05 PM.Comment
