I’m honestly not sure if I noticed a change. What I do know is that the speed difference in the open court is non existent. I feel like it’s noticeable for the first step when making a quick move by a defender but not at all on the fast break.

I can confirm that that's been a problem since Day 1.

Since Day 1 I noticed that something was off with fastbreaks in the game. I mentioned it here after playing a bit more. Players don't seem to get enough separation on the break with defenders. I don't know if the layup and dunk animations are too slow or defenders are too fast but either way what should be quick and easy breakaway dunks and layups end up turning into chase down blocks and contested layup animations way too often.

What happens to me a lot of the time playing MyCareer on hall of fame difficulty is that I'll get a step or two ahead of my defender but once I press turbo + shoot to start a dunk animation the defender magically catches up and latches onto me to trigger a contact layup animation instead of a dunk.

And that's with me user-controlling a slasher that has a 95 dunk rating, all of the contact dunk packages equipped, and the giant slayer + contact/relentless finisher badges on hall of fame.

It feels like you need a lot more than one or two steps of separation to trigger an uncontested finish in this game, yet in real life, that's all a good slasher needs to score consistently at the rim.

I didn’t really notice it until I was running next to Boban and realized he was pacing me the entire court. I know some people are blaming the hip ride animation but I feel like it’s more than that. Even without being touched, I find it hard to gain separation in transition. And, like you said, I’ve had guys trailing behind me force me into super awkward animations when I shouldn’t even know they’re there.

Maybe it's a placebo, but the game feels really smooth right now almost like Day 1. I was able to pull this off with Conley.

Nothing noticibale on my end. Then again, I haven't really noticed any constant changes.

Some days it felt fast, some days it felt perfect. I can't explain it. But whatever it is, I'm loving how it feels now.

Things I've been right about recently: The 2K20 offline speed has not changed since launch.

Things I've claimed that are yet to be proven correct: Dallas will win 50 games this year.
