Why TF does the game require an update every day?!?

it was so bad in 2K19 and its just been getting worse and worse . Basically if you put the game on rest mode for the duration of the typical American work shift, by the time you resume playing, you will need to return to the main menu in order to allow the game to update itself in ways 2K never elaborates on.

Heaven forbid you have to go to the main menu once a day.

You also use the "fix2k20" hashtag in a post complaining about having to go to the main menu because they're updating the game every day. Classic OS.
