I think it's a fair compromise to say the 'gameplay looks good, Ben Simmons isn't taking pull ups, the sim stats are pretty good without being perfect, let's just enjoy our MyLeagues and bust some *** with my Harden/Pierce hybrid PG and 7'3 unicorn'.

Re: Player Tendencies do NOT correlate to in game stats
Just did some testing. The 'pace' and 'possessions' sliders in the sim settings do the same things, just in reverse. Raising the first reduces possessions, raising the second increases possessions.
The way the pace one is described indicates it would create a larger spread between teams. Not the case.Comment

I always jack up "Look For Post Players" tendency slider to 80 - definitely helps the computer pass the ball more and distribute touches. I've been doing this since 2K13 and it works wonders.Comment

Any help here? Should I increase?
It says the "frequency" of made 3 pointers. Does that mean if I lower the slider 3 pointers will be more frequent, or less frequent?Comment

Re: Player Tendencies do NOT correlate to in game stats
Luka with a step back 3 rating of 0 really pissed me off. Then I see he has a spot up tendency of 99?
Stauffer has definitely fallen from grace.
If they got THOSE wrong, I have no clue as to how deep the rabbit hole goes.Comment

How surprised would you be to learn that tendencies for certain players are simply randomly generated? Some of the retro players are so off that this is my current belief.Comment

Re: Player Tendencies do NOT correlate to in game stats
I just happened to notice Celtics Center Vincent Poirier has a 42 3 point ratings but ridiculously high tendencies for shooting 3s. It's stuff like that that kills me in their rosters.

Re: Player Tendencies do NOT correlate to in game stats
This is interesting. Does anyone know how to decrease 3 pt percentage across the league? I dropped the slider down to 45 for 3ppointers but still have 6 teams shooting over 40%!
Any help here? Should I increase?

Some players have too high of a percentage, but if you take away their badges they don't give you those wow moments during gameplay. I try to find a nice balance where the stats look ok (not perfect) but the gameplay is great.
As far as I can tell, there is no secret sauce. It's a very delicate balance. I wanted more in games 3s, so I noticed Blake was averaging 9 3PA a game, Curry 13. Not over the top, but slightly too high.Comment
