they need to use standardized heights and then Model their game after that.

Myles Turner was also drafted at 18/19 years old. It’s very realistic that he’s grown an inch since then.. either way players who get taller in the game isn’t necessarily a bad thing.. my concern is more so the guys that they are going to make shorter in relation to classic players that won’t be edited..

LeBron for example if he’s made to be 6’7 would only barley be taller than Jordan on the floor when in reality he’s a bit taller than Magic Johnson in his shoes... someone like Draymond could wind up shorter than Kobe, etc.

Edit: Turner measured 6’9.75 barefoot before the draft, a littler over 6’11 in shoes.. he’s just grown.

Russell can't even reach that with shoes on. He is 6'2.25" at his lowest (188.6 cm) and Harden 6'3.65" at his lowest (192.1 cm).

They will be rounding up stars and/or measuring them in the morning.

Meaning that a 6'9.5"–6'9.75" Durant will be 6'10", 6'1.5" Irving will be 6'2", 6'5.5" Kawhi will be 6'6", 6'5.25" Butler will be 6'6", 6'0.75 Lillard will be 6'1", 6'3.65" Harden will be 6'4" and 6'6.75" Lebron, I'm betting the league will measure him super early in the morning and will be rounded up to 6'8" from a 6'7.5" or 6'7.75" measurement.

Re: NBA wants update players height

I actually wonder if the KD height wasn’t a round down rather than up. He already wants to be shorter than he is, and looks every bit of 6’11+ in his shoes IMO. I could easily see his real height being 6’10.25 or something. Or have you seen his exact measurement?

Re: NBA wants update players height

Seen plenty of him next to legit 6'9" dudes. When he came into the league he was for sure 6'9" at night without shoes (he had a late afternoon/early evening measurement).

            8th row:

Since then he grew about half an inch (give or take), I think it's fair to say he could be 6'10.25" out of bed or early morning (like his current measurement) and drop at a low of 6'9.5–6'9.7" at night. half an inch to 3/4 of an inch is the approximate difference between him and a flat 6'9" Demarcus Cousins.

Fact: 6'9.5" (207.5 cm) or 6'9.7" (207.5 cm) is really tall. Remember Larry Bird (6'9" or maybe 6'9.25" in his prime), Eddie Pickney (6'9.5") or even Kevin McHale (about 6'9.5–75") looking every bit of 6'11 on the court.

Rather than start a new thread I will ask here. Now that preseason has started when do they update the rosters? Is it after preseason or during? I don't remember anymore...

They have been updating the roster, a signing here, a shoe brand change.

The official roster update (starting lineups, injuries, etc) will be done a few days after the season starts.

I still don’t know what to do about these heights. Like I feel like something is going to happen if I change them and also I still struggle with believing that Embiid is 6’11 like no way

@JandersonSacBee: Some of you may have noticed Bagley was introduced as a 6-8 forward this morning and Hield was introduced as a 6-3 guard. That was incorrect. I’m told the roster below includes NBA-certified heights for all players. Bagley is still 6-11. Buddy is still 6-4. https://twitter.com/JandersonSacBee/...114624/photo/1
If that's true. That's pretty hilarious considering the way some people took the news lol.

What would you guys add to make these height work in game? I know they took the measurements with no shoes, so maybe add an inch to make it with shoes?
