Play now online still disconnects - ridiculous.

you think after 10 years where we are seeing disconnects online now they fix this? problem is that every year another thing is forcing these disconnects. in 2k10 you were not allowed to dunk right beneath the basket or it would result in a disconnect. in 2k13 if you ran a fastbreak and tried do start a layup/dunk at the freethrow line, it would disconnect.

since 2k17 the game will very likely disconnect if you change your matchups or defensive settings in the pause menu.

The only thing that still bothers me is the cpu still forcing drives waaay too much. Sometimes cpu guards mindlessly dribble through/around the paint for seconds...But I think that this is less a hardcoded problem than it has to do with tendencies etc...

Tendencies in 2K default roster plays a huge part. Players like Spida and Russ has 99 attack tendency. So they almost exclusively put their head down and tries to get to the rim. With default rosters it's a weird mix of modern and 90s era NBA basketball.

Lets hope we get a roster overhaul from 2K so we can get more ball movement and less bulldozing to the paint.

I hope! But Switch is still on 1.02 so I’m not holding my breath... My hope is that 2k has just been prioritizing satisfying the big console gamers and then when the complaining dies down (relatively speaking) they’ll bring Switch up to the latest patch.

I found a pretty effective solution: increase the "Look For Post Players" tendency slider to 80. That seems to be the sweet spot. You will see players pass more and distribute touches. At 50, the game is just horrible, arcade like.

We better enjoy it while we can!!! I felt like I was playing nba 2k on September 6th last night! It was 2K day all over again!

2k11 may finally be dethroned.

My favorite nba 2k OFFLINE pure game of basketball is definitely NBA 2K20. Before people jump on me I did say "OFFLINE PURE GAME OF BASKETBALL" so please my fellow OS'ers no back and forth about bugs and glitches lol. We talking basketball baby!![emoji41]🤣

I'm noticing a huge difference in auto playcalling! The way the playbooks/playcalls have been mixed up is awesome! Before the patch teams were running like 6 plays tops. Now it seems like the playbooks are wide open and being utilized nicely!

Played 1 game post patch against the lakers in mycareer and im liking this patch. Kinda close to simulation basketball and players like lebron/davis is actually playing like themselves. I notice more set plays by the cpu. Pick and roll is kinda easier /automatic now though.

I hear what you are saying but honestly I like the green releases...It doesn't feel cheesy to me at all...

Great patch BTW 2k especially for me because I play strictly offline. Now I have to adjust some sliders because the blow by's are kind of too easy for my liking

I just want the option to disable all visuals bro. Its always been that way

Always! Live actually has an option to turn off everything. I think you can have the circle indicator off as well. Talk about ultimate immersion.

I can't remember if it was 2k10 or 2k11 that had the automatic dunk or layup on almost every pick and roll. I remember being able to pass to the roller no matter how clogged the paint was for the easy 2 points lol. It got so bad that I started ignoring the roll man completely and going to option 2 and 3 on pick and rolls.

After this patch my 7'3 glass cleaning defender is completely useless. My standing dunk is a 95 and he no longer dunks. I can't get blocks because my guys too slow and I'm struggling to get rebounds because he can no longer chase them down. The only way I'm getting rebounds is if they land in my hands.

I understand the centers were a little overpowered but they've hamstrung them.

Yea Exactly. I have a 7ft2 guy and i made him because everyone had 7ft3 guys forcing over my 7ft Center. I put all that time into him and now hes just terrible slow. It shouldnt of slowed us down that much. Also guards with low lateral quickness wont be able to stop anything on defense because they are too slow now too. haha. This patch was a joke. It broke more than it fixed.
