    People don't even read lol

OP is trying to find a way to force the CPU to defend him better because Giannis is an automatic bucket, but we have people complaining and explaining how they would defend him. No one cares how you would. The CPU is the issue, not someone else.

Well any help would be much appreciated. He had 14 pts and 12 rebounds in my last game against him. And that was in the first quarter, against the 96 bulls

It's crazy what Giannis can do in this game but the worst thing is that he highlights ACE's issues. When playing on auto coaching the CPU is putting him with deny ball and he keeps cutting to the basket...

The way the ACE approaches him it's a pure suicide

2K has always defaulted to over-aggressive perimeter defense. That's why I usually have my way 90% of the time versus anyone because they don't change those auto settings. I've always believed in protecting the paint first and foremost, which allows me to close out on shooters much faster than helping in then running back out. Only great shooters deserve that respect.

Of course I lose some games because 2K decides that mediocre shooters punish me for baiting on semi-open shots, but it doesn't happen often.

Giannis is 2Ks legacy issues wrapped up into a digital player. Pretty much all of Giannis's come from issues that have plagued the series for years. Broken fast break defense. Broken rebounding, loose ball cheese. If these things weren't a problem then he never score.

If you want it to be more of a challenge, don't cheese the game lol. Using Giannis that way is cheesy. Fun as hell, and realistic in moderation, but still cheesy. Turbo cheese has always been in the game, it's just that Giannis is better at it because his player model is the size of a private jet. I drafted him in my All-Time MyLeague and realized it was basically half my points. It made games hella boring because it's already unstoppable on the break, but if he gets takeover, he can do the same thing in the halfcourt. It's basically violence at that point.

I just restricted the amount of times I try take advantage of it. I only try to fastbreak with him off of steals or blocks that I get manually. If it's the cpu I give the ball to somebody else to run the break. On Giannis rebounds I either pass the ball up court or just jog it up and initiate the offense.*

I cant remember the last time IVe seen a player this dominant in an NBA video game.
playing against an ai controlled Giannis is difficult, but I actually like the challenge.

Giannis is ruining the game for me. I can use him fairly but the HOF/Superstar CPU can't.

I don't know what happened through roster updates but the CPU controlled Bucks literally play only though him. He can't miss inside no matter what...

It wasn't the case at realase. Initially only the user could take advantage of him unrealistically now even the AI does..

I've tried anything to stop him...

I'm getting run ragged by the 2023 version of CPU Giannis in my NYK My League.

Superstar / Adjusted Sliders / 1st Round of Playoffs

He's been pretty jacked in previous seasons, during the regular season, but this '23 Playoff version of him is borderline OP, in comparison to how other 99 OVR players perform in my setup.

Anybody come up with any tips as to how to slow him down?

"Nothing Inside" / "Jordan Rules" didn't work, along with Soft Hedge / Deny Ball combos.

Haven't tried doubling him in Post or Perimeter yet, bc when I manually double, he always passes out to a wide open shooter that drains it, almost EVERY time.

He also blocks WAY too many shots without fouling, but that just means I gotta hit on more "Get Shooters Open" opportunities.

Anything working for anyone on this guy?

                    Thanks.

Ben Simmons is like this for the Sixers. He can get to the hole to easily when the player is controlling him and there doesn’t seem to be backline help unless he’s posting up. Also played a game the other day and scored 54 with Doncic and I was able to consistently get the hole pretty easily.
