The search is over everyone -- we've found the dumbest people on earth fr. Every time I play Rec I lose more and more faith in humanity. Like it goes beyond the videogame, I'm just wondering how do these same people tie their shoes. It's press X to shoot press A to pass. Basic stuff that seems like rocket science to your average Rec player. I honestly don't know how it's this hard to figure out a simple basketball videogame.

2K Matchmaking is a disaster.

Kinda got humbled earlier when I played with someone who I truly thought was mentally challenged

So we have to keep that in mind.



I am more irked at the selfishness of the average rec random. It is insane to me ppl would rather go 1/11 than pass the ball.

I easily play that on a daily basis, just got to get over it.
I play a dominant big when I solo. Get the carry going

I’m the same way. I definitely get frustrated with lousy teammates but I try to put those mfs on my back. These are my games over the past couple of days






I can’t win them all obviously because I can’t score endlessly or defend everyone’s matchups, especially on the perimeter, but I go down swinging every time. At the end of the game, I want to at least get the better of my matchup even in a loss.

If you're a good Big you can definitely impact the game more than any other position. But it should be way harder to neutralize a good by just having a stretch as your match up.

He can be like a 65.. But if he knows his jumper and no one picks up.. It's ****ed.

I think being a big who doesn't necessarily want to score is the key for me. I still avg 15 & 15 though.

Maybe I've just had good luck but it's been about half and half for me. I've met the occasional idiot, but I've also met squads in rec where we've played in sync and ran like 3-4 straight games together back to back.

Yeah... That's how it goes. If you find a decent squad, a friend request can keep you from running with bums.

Yeah stretch’s can definitely neutralize me pretty effectively on the defensive end if I’m forced to sit in the corner. I usually dare them to hit one of me to see if I can still defend the rim but most times I end up camping in the corner with them.

It’s not like last year where any big with a 60 3 pointer and a good jumper is going 3/4 from the corner though bro. If you don’t have shooting in your build, you’re not hitting reliably from the outside period.

I played a couple of games with Loso last week where I ended up matched with a stretch in both games. Couldn’t put up the gaudy rebound numbers but at least Loso and his buddy have the basketball iq to recognize I had a soft matchup on the other end. They actually put the ball in my hands and let me attack them. It’s frustrating when you have a stretch matchup but no one will pass you the ball on the offensive end so you can punish them a bit.

I don’t care about scoring either as long as my teammates are scoring buckets. I don’t like to force things so if there’s 2 behemoths camping under the hoop, I’m fine with setting screens and kicking out. I do get a little frustrated if it’s a blowout and guys won’t even pass to me when I’m sitting open under the hoop. Or if everyone is bricking from the perimeter and they won’t even TRY something else. Especially when you can tell 2 or 3 guys came in together and will only pass to each other.

Yeah, my experience is the same. Usually I have a teammate or 2 that’s decent. Sometimes my whole team is brain dead but sometimes I get lucky and everyone is good.

I barely play park because it takes too long to find games in my experience. In Rec, I don’t really look very closely at Rep. If I end up with a bunch of teammates all averaging like 6.4 pts, 1.8 assists and 0.7 rebounds, I will close app before the game starts if I’m not distracted by something. To me that tells me that you’re probably horribly inefficient at scoring and can’t pass the ball or you quit a bunch. I’d rather lose 5 minutes booting back in than 30 being frustrated.

or were they meant for 3vs3 pro am but a bug allows it in rec? seeing bunny hops is just goofy stuff i expect in park.

That's the tradeoff. Have a ton of patience or have a crappy game with randoms. I usually have to dashboard multiple times. And then I find a team with decent stats and they buddy ball the whole game.. If you're someone who just wants to hop in a game online and have fun playing a basketball game with decent players, this game is not for you. Wait 15-20min or suffer the consequences.
