One thing for sure...I will never respect people that use screens on every possession, and use the same tired back and forth dribbling animation to create fake separation.

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
Play shots got 6 defensive badges and they pick clamps and intim or something haha. I was looking at that like SMH. I have a score machine with 3 badges and it's all pick dodger, my pg zen killer (6'8 reb point) HoF pick dodger, people be quittin haha. Doods need multiple picks to get open on me. They need a wall. Even then my arms are so long.
There isn't as much pick n roll action from non 5s tho. I'm not gonna keep setting people picks if they leave me wide open under basket or never throw over the top on breaks. Mainly the picks are from those kinda teams that run zone. I also never understood how 2-3 zone is so effective against randos. Oh well I'll take my offensive rebs.

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
I'm not mad at match making but I Don't understand why they run a 4 plus me v five. If they can fill a four +1 so fast do another.
Also I'm mad at u dashboard kids. I quit two times. Both times for people who didn't get in or quit themselves. Once off an invite. I'm stuck at 95 now, just slowly creeping, I have been paired w some really awful teammates so all my stats are dropping too.
I feel like 2k got me black listed.

It doesn't help that an "open" midrange inside or around the paint is not a high percentage look (in this game at least).Comment

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
Man its a good thing you can see the teamgrade someone has.
I have no idea how someone can have a D teamgrade let alone an F team grade , but dear god these people play down to that grade
At this point i rather have AI lol.

Re: Matchmaking in Rec is awful.
I miss the days of 2K17 and 2K18 where people would grade out of games after their 4th turnover if they hadn't made any positive plays to counteract their TOs. Now it takes like 8 or 9 turnovers for a bad teammate to grade out from offensive mistakes, and you can somehow allow 50+ points to your man on defense without grading out from defensive screwups.
Unfortunately the game is now designed to pacify--not punish--bad apple teammates as 2K has decided that it's more important to placate these idiots and handle them with kids gloves regardless of the fact that their bad behavior is ruining the game for the 4 other people who're forced to wear the same jersey color.
Then if you stop passing dummies the ball because they're doing dumb stuff with it, they'll just go and stand in the lane to trigger 3 second violations repeatedly on offense, and 2K22 somehow still isn't smart enough to kick them for that style of team sabotage, either.
Another part of 2K18 walkon that was way better than 2K22 rec center is how we used to be able to call plays, change the freelance offense, change defenses, and change each AI defender's pressure settings, when the dum dums finally got tired of trolling their team and quit out at halftime down by 30 points. But now when you get stuck with an AI teammate there's nothing you can do to make them play better on offense or defense, because 2K removed all of those team strategy options from the rec center, even though they still exist in the 5v5 team pro am mode.Last edited by jyoung; 10-09-2021, 10:03 AM.Comment
