I literally am working on this build now. I usually don't play to the meta, every character i have so far is a 2 way slasher but maintaining a 98 is impossible. The other night i got to a 98.9 grinding my guard in career. Played a team game and a rec game. We lost both and i went down a full point. They were close games, we all had good performances. But an L can drop you .5 or more. Whereas, even if you win but you don't score a lot or get a bunch of steals and blocks you can lose it.

I typically play the glue guy role. I'm at the 4 so i need to space and play D. I can hit corner 3s boosted at a 65 at 98 but I'm poopoo at a 64. My contacts and layups are tied on my SF to that rating. My PG i try to maintain my 70 three at 98.

I've decided that maintaining a 97 is more doable. But i can tell the defense and speed are way different on a purely offensive build. And without badges, my ratings mean nothing on this build. I had quick draw on silver last night with no other shooting badges and was bricking wide open with an 80 three.

So regardless, I'm stuck grinding career either to maintain OVR or to get badges for a new build....

Lol... If you a high overall don't even think about playing park. We had a few minutes while we was waiting on our 5th player for rec so we was playing a bit of park. We played 4 games, i was locking up my man scoring 12-14 points a game. I was getting rebounds, steals and blocks. But i kept losing overall while on a winning streak?

This is seriously the worst addition to the game ever.

Re: Losing your OVR was a terrible idea.

Last night we started out in Rec i was a 98.1. Been meaning to grind career to get me some padding but i thought i was ok by a 4 game win streak. The problem is our first 4 games the whole team quit. You get rep, vc, and badge progress if that happens but you apparently HAVE to see your OVR go up in order for it to count. So after we lose the 5th game where i almost had a quadruple double, i had like 15 points, 12 rebounds, 6 steals and 6 blocks, my match up only in single digits and a putrid FG% as a giant glass cleaner, compared to my 6'7 SF... I lose overall.

Whatever, win 2 games to get my OVR back tonight. Have a game where I'm the leading scorer and have 18 points, but not too many rebounds because we have a 7'3, i went 3/3 from deep and held my man scoreless... 97.9. Lost my OVR again.

        Just complete garbage.
