With all the things that's going on overseas and the possible talk about next gen consoles could be delayed until spring 2021. This probably could give developers more time if infact these consoles will have some sort of delay.

all the ones you can easily find yourself if you want to. Stats are available for each player based on shot location and distance from a defender. Go look at PJ Tucker for his shot distribution (which is another issue with 2k tendencies but I digress). How often does he shoot outside the corner and a contested shot. Yet somehow his 3 rating matches up with those who hit tougher shots in a variety of locations

And that matters big time in today's NBA as top talent like Lillard, Young, Harden, Doncic, etc. are taking more and more deep 3s and others are taking more and more contested 3s. I know we have some badges dealing with shooting like difficult shots, bail out, clutch shooter, deadeye, green machine, range extender, steady shooter, tireless shooter, volume shooter, etc. But guess who has none of those badges? Both Robert Covington and PJ Tucker. Yet if you ask 100 basketball fans who you want taking anything but an uncontested corner 3 who they want shooting a 3 others places on the court, pulling up, with any D near, they are going to take Covington every time. Yet Covington has a 79 rating and Tucker an 80. The rating don't reflect the realities of the different types of shooters anymore. One rating does not fit all, even with the badges (which I'm no fan of anyway).
The problem isn't just the ratings. It's the badge allocation by the roster editor. You put the badges on the guys and it adds personality to their game. They're too restrictive with who has what. Most of the scorers in the league should have bronze difficult shots, steady shooter, and deadeye but barely any of them have it.

You have guys like Luka who shoot an average percentage from mid range and 3(40% from mid and 32% from 3) but they give him high 80s-90s shooting ratings. He should have average shooting ratings with above average scoring badges. So now he can hit shots in people's faces but he won't be Steve Kerr when shooting open shots(like he is now).

The 360 version is my preferred version over the Ps4 and XBOX One. The graphics are prettier on next gen, but i felt the gameplay was better on the previous gen. No glaring AI issues, more game modes, and I think a more solid gameplay experience. 2k14 at launch was a pretty but very hot mess with a lot of gameplay issues and glitches.

I would have zero interest in 2k21 on PS5 in spring of 2021.....way to late in the nba season for a new game.

But hey, what do I know. I’m an old head and actually play the nba portion of the game.......

Naw....I want proof that he shoots 90% on open 3's.

That's the problem with people. They want the game to be "realistic", but then they pull out these stupid stats out of their *sses.

I see the confusion. When I said 90% I was referring to where Tucker TAKES his 3s, not how often he hits open 3s. No one hits that kind of percentage. It's rare to even hit 55%

Tucker has shot 188 corner 3s, and 54 from the rest of the line. So while not 90%, my point is that he and other shooters have vastly different skills based on location. Tucker has hit 44.9% from the left corner, 37.4% from the right corner, but only 25.9% on non corner 3s. Yet he has one 3 point rating. That is what I'm advocating changing. Ratings by location and ratings based on contested vs. open 3 pointers.

To further illustrate my point, the highest shooting % on wide open 3s in the league by anyone who shoots 3s with any frequency is JJ Redick at 58. A volume 3 shooter like Duncan Robinson is only hitting 43% of his wide open 3s (defender 6 ft or more away).

And to continue my PJ Tucker comparisons, he hits 41% of wide open 3s but hasn't taken a single 3 with someone within 0-2 feet. He has taken 10 3s with someone within 2-4 feet, hitting only 1 of them. By comparison, Covington has taken 94 and hit 27.7%. So who's the better shooter? Yet they have the same overall 3 point rating.
