Okay that sounds difficult to learn haha...
do you plan on doing all 30 teams? I’d love to copy and paste these to Xbox so we can use them

When 2K Sports going to hire you? I feel like you're the last person from the 2K OGs that haven't been hired yet.

Not really reflected here but Ilyasova is the league's best at drawing charges for several years running (and it hasn't been close). This factors into his defensive ratings a bit.

While 81 OVR might seem high, it's important to remember the only reason he plays 16 MPG is he plays the same position as Giannis. He started for years before returning to Milwaukee.. I consider him in the same tier as Nemanja Bjelica. Milwaukee's depth is top tier this year with multiple starting caliber players.

Remember you back from Gamefaqs. Just wanted to say I love the idea of this Basketball Almanac as I had something similar as a kid and it drew me into the game as it did for you. Will be following this till you’re done with it!

Love the changes and the little justifications, seems real well researched. I've used your roster in my franchise, giving Sabonis all the love he needs. Keep it up!

Beautiful work. Well said end explained. I don’t know if you have a roster out but we can’t use custom rosters in “start today” anyways.

I see that one of the biggest things to correct is the speed with ball of bigs. I agree they are extremely slow and sluggish apart some cases (Antony Davis, Siakam).

Bledsoe has always been a weird fit in MIL. He isn't good enough On-Ball to be a primary scorer, and isn't good enough of a shooter to consistently play off of one. Elite defense and pushing the break are what he brings. 30% of possessions in Transition is tied w/ Ben Simmons for most among NBA starters.

                            Shooting Tendencies

                            Shot Tendency
                            STARTER
                            110 Giannis (Scale breaker)
                            80 Middleton
                            70 Bledsoe
                            55 B.Lopez
                            40 Matthews
                            RESERVE
                            50 DiVincenzo / Ilyasova / R.Lopez / Brown
                            45 Hill / Korver / M.Williams
                            35 Connaughton

Unlike most teams, the Bucks don't utilize a sixth man scorer. This is because they stagger Giannis and Middleton to ensure the second unit isn't just a bunch of role players.

                            Under Basket
                            STARTERS
                            115 Giannis (Scale-breaker)
                            55 Bledsoe
                            30 B.Lopez
                            25 Middleton
                            15 Matthews
                            RESERVE
                            40 DiVincenzo
                            35 Hill / Ilyasova / Connaughton
                            30 R.Lopez / Brown
                            15 M.Williams
                            5 Korver

Giannis is effectively modern Shaq with regard to his paint dominance. Bledsoe and to an extent DiVincenzo are the only other players that really look to get to the rim.

Close Tend (aka Short-Midrange - Floaters, Runners, Postups)
                            STARTER
                            60 Middleton
                            55 Giannis
                            45 Bledsoe
                            35 B.Lopez
                            15 Matthews
                            RESERVE
                            45 R.Lopez
                            25 Ilyasova / M.Williams
                            20 Hill / Brown
                            15 DiVincenzo
                            10 Connaughton
                            5 Korver

Mid Tend (aka Long-Mid - the shot teams are eliminating)

                            STARTER
                            30 Middleton
                            10 Giannis
                            10 Bledsoe
                            5 B.Lopez
                            5 Matthews
                            RESERVE
                            10 Korver
                            5 DiVincenzo / Hill / Ilyasova / M.Williams / Connaughton / Brown
                            0 R.Lopez

Only Middleton looks for shots here. In the case of Giannis/Bledsoe these are largely shots where the defense collapsed hard on a drive, not something they actively look for.

                            3PT Tend
                            STARTERS
                            70 Middleton
                            70 Matthews
                            65 B.Lopez
                            55 Giannis
                            45 Bledsoe
                            RESERVE
                            90 Korver
                            60 DiVincenzo / Brown
                            50 Ilyasova / M.Williams
                            45 Hill / Connaughton
                            40 R.Lopez

Every single Bucks player is a 3pt threat, yet (perhaps by design) only Korver would be considered a high-volume specialist. This tells me the Bucks merely look for the open shot and don't care who the final recipient is.

Currently in the playoffs in ML and just copied these bucks ones over. Can’t wait to try them. I might try and do the Celtics(opponent) myself after trying to get an idea of the process used in this.

Do you have anywhere specific you get the data for shooting tendencies and play types? Baseball is easy I just go to fangraphs usually, but I haven’t found a basketball equivalent. Also, is there a certain slider set you’d suggest with these?

Awesome work on the Bucks squad. Was a joy to read tbh.
