Few Questions About MyLeague Customization

Hey all, just a few Qs about MyLeague customization for either 2k19 or 2k20.

On the fence about buying either game...I'm not really into playing as in controlling the players and all that. Or really even being a GM, though that might be cool. What I really enjoy is setting up new leagues and running the league as a Commissioner so to speak.

So I'm looking for some insight on what can and cannot be done with League customization.

• Can I replace all NBA teams with custom teams?
• If yes, does this cost coins, credits, crowns or whatever they call the micro transactions in this game?

• Can I have a league that has fewer or more teams than the NBA?

• I know the season length can be changed, but unsure as to the number of games that can be set.

• Can I use all fictional players?
• If yes, where do these players come from? Are they randomly generated when a team is created, is there a pool of players, or the worst, all created teams get an X overall PG and an X overall C and so on?

• Can Leagues be created from the beginning with all options for customization available, or do you have to use the league expansion thing?

If anyone has any other info they think I may be interested in, please do not hold back.

Also, I did some searching with DuckDuckGo (I hate google), but didn't find really anything. If someone knows of a site/page which has all the info regarding MyLeague customization, please share.

Yes you can replace every nba team with a custom one and it doesn’t cost anything

Can’t have fewer than 30 teams but you can have up to 36 using the custom league feature

You can use all fictional players but you have to make them yourself or use a roster with all created players

You have all customization options as soon as you start a league

You can have up to 6 expansion teams

There is a fantasy draft option where you can use every nba player ever or just every current player and have a fantasy draft that way

Lots of customization

Yes you can replace every nba team with a custom one and it doesn’t cost anything

by custom team you mean a team with the user-given name?

I do know the game has a create team function that includes everything from name and uniform to even designing the arena they play in.

So its possible to eliminate all 30 real NBA teams and put 30 user teams instead?


But is it possible to make a roster out of custom teams? I think that is not possible...






Btw, why is it not possible to load a user roaster into playoff mode??

I don't own the game and am asking questions too. You should probably start your own thread for your specific questions.

I wasn't trying to be exclusive...but this question you asked...

Has nothing to do with MyLeague customization.

I was trying to be nice and say you should ask your more specific questions in your own thread, rather than saying stop hyjacking my thread for your own interest.

I'm totally fine with all questions regarding MyLeague customization here, that's why I started the thread, I want to know too. But don't use questions regarding that topic to piggy back other questions off of...which you did with the whole playoff mode thing.

Not trying to be an a**, but seriously, it's an extremely active forum filled with very nice and forth coming people...just start your own thread for different questions, if someone knows, they will most likely respond and help.

You can create a roster filled with fictional players and then use the rebranding option to make them completely custom teams. So yes that is very much possible


As for playoff mode 2k is just a garbage company. That’s what I chalk that up to
