Re: 2K21 Demo Impressions
In the past I always use the shot stick for shooting. I did the 2K tutorial and no matter what I did the shot was slightly left or slightly right. I played a quick game and it was even worse. Every shot I took took was off right or left and my shots looked like shanked field goal kicks.
Why the hell would anyone use the shot stick instead of the button for shooting?Last edited by Guard-ian; 08-24-2020, 11:51 AM.Ignorance is Bliss...Comment

Re: 2K21 Demo Impressions
I may have missed something, but can we turn the new shot system off and revert to the standard shot stick shooting from 2K20 and previous games?
I'm a stick user and don't want to be forced into using the button just because of their wonky new system.
I'm not looking to pull of a shoryuken here, I just wan't to shoot a damn jumper. Learning player's releases should be sufficient enough.-----------------------------------------

Re: 2K21 Demo Impressions
In principle if you practice and master it you will get rewarded... but anyway I hate to be concrentrated in a bar instead of enjoiying the beauty of the game and its shoointg animations... my first thing with the full game will be to disable all shooting indicators... I would like to shoot with the stick... but without aiming and release based on animations, like in older 2ks... and hopefully that mode will have some boost also...
I know it is a video game and not real life but NBA players don't generally have issues with their shooting form to the point where their elbows, hands or wrists are slightly, or badly off to the right or left when they shoot.
I don't know what 2K was going for here beside forcing people away from the stick?Last edited by ensoul; 08-24-2020, 12:02 PM.Comment

Re: 2K21 Demo Impressions
Doesn't really seem like much has changed? Not a fan of the shot stick aiming thing, but I can get used to it I guess. Still don't look like they removed the green light flashing on perfect releases either smh. Idk...I may just wait it out till the next gen version drops.Comment

Re: 2K21 Demo Impressions
This could be just me but I don’t like the shooting in the last few years games. It seems like unless it’s a green it’s not going in. That’s for me the user and the CPU with the regular teams. The all time lakers we’re making everything on meComment

Re: 2K21 Demo Impressions
Yh i'm feeling the same way. At least on next gen, it should be a bit of a different and likely better gameplay experience, considering what they can do with the tech on the new consoles. And on top of that, we all know it's going to look better.Comment
