Re: NBA 2K21 Early Impressions
Cant you normally load a custom draft class when you start in the offseason? If so, what i wouldve done is just start making one then replace the faces with the facescans when they appearComment

Re: NBA 2K21 Early Impressions
24 if you switch back to timing can you give impressions on it? For example does timing feel any different/better than previous years? Is the step back controls the same as when input is set to aiming? Does switching back to timing change the dribble controls (ex: holding right initiates jump shot instead of dribbling)?
Don't know if this makes sense but I liked the feel of jump shots with aiming on I just could not get on board with the actual aiming aspect of it. I struggled in the demo so I can only imagine the trouble I would have with it on higher difficulties.
Controls don't change.
Switching back to timing is completely viable. My fear was they would shortcut timing controls to maybe encourage aiming, but its solid and intuitive.
I actually really like timing this year as well. Pull ups for instance feel a lot better. I think the movement has something to do with it.
I'll try to get to MyLeague stuff.Comment

24th or anyone else - Can you check and see if there is a coach mode in the game and if they have team jerseys back in blacktop or just those ugly t-shirts?EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

[SpoilerQUOTE=The 24th Letter;2050199550]I've switched to timing early on. Might come back a bit later. Superstar was really punishing.

Good looks 24! Gameplay sounds solid. I was enjoying the demo but the aiming made it hard to fully appreciate changes. I'll have to consider getting the Mamba Edition.Comment

Re: NBA 2K21 Early Impressions
If it’s starts in 2020-2021 regular season what happens to the off-season free agents? Are they just in the pool or are they signed for 1 year?Comment

re: NBA 2K21 Last Gen Impressions
I was on the fence about getting the current gen version this year but I'm glad I did. You can definitely notice the subtle differences in gameplay. Some nice new additions. It will hold me over until the PS5 drops.
My only gripe, and this had been a reoccurring theme every year with 2K...The sliding.
Players still glide into position to receive passes without moving their feet. It's especially noticeable during inbound passes. It's not as bad as it was in years past but it's still there.
This has been a huge eyesore in the game for a while now. I don't understand why 2K can't just make players stand still while waiting to receive passes instead of gliding back n forth. I have my theories but I'm no game developer so I digress...
I really hope 2K focused on foot planting & not tethering passes for Next gen. This is one area that could use an overhaul.
**Update**
After spending more time with the game, I have to say the sliding is actually worse than last year.
Players are gliding around the court from side to side in a stand still position while waiting to receive inbound passes after made baskets. It's happening quite frequently. This is disappointing to see & an immersion killer. Hopefully it's a big that can be fixed in a patch. Otherwise I might have to go back to 2K20...Last edited by JKSportsGamer1984; 09-04-2020, 04:10 PM.Comment
