How is everybody liking My Career so far? I'm trying to wait till the season starts and the start of the season roster drop before I really dive into it and it's hard cause I want to play it.

I finally have the build I want and have played a few times while in college wondering is there a certain way to go to the team you want this year?

I played around with it for a bit just to see how different the G League option was from the college. I just started a new one but I wish I would of waited just to see if Harden gets traded or not. But I found fouling out and just going undrafted was the best option for me. I don’t have to go through the whole Hendrix Cobb drama.

You can still go to the team you want like current gen. That hasn't changed

This might be a long post but it has so much potential but it’s a lot of things that’s ruining it for me. I had ALOT of fun and competitive games on HOF in 2K19.

So far, it’s very very easy to beat the CPU this year. I am beating almost every team by at least 20. For some reason they cannot defend the roll man on P&Rs. Almost 90% of the time, it’s a easy bucket. It’s very easy to get by the cpu for a easy layup or dunk. This one is something I really wouldn’t want touched much because it’s almost perfect where it is. I just wish whoever is in control of the defense would reference back to 2K19 AI defense on some things. Mainly if I am averaging like 30+ at PG. Instead of putting Curry or Lou Williams on me which would be a mismatch and very very easy to get by, they’d used to put the best defender on you like a Klay or PG. Back on 2K19, they’d mix up how they played the P&Rs and how they doubled you. The CPU on offense was also a lot deadlier. If those things was improved, this would probably be the best mycareer.

This next part I don’t know if could be patched or anything this year but one thing I hate about MYCareer this year is we’re missing out on a lot of presentation just to hear your MyPlayer chat and talk smack. The camera angles and etc during FTs is cool but it shouldn’t cut off the announcers. We do not get a pregame show. The presentation of the start of a game is skipped. For example if it’s the NBA Playoffs, we used to get “Welcome to the 1st round of the NBA Playoffs” or team starting lineup introductions and etc. All that is gone just to have your player in a huddle and to walk to the court.

There is no longer a Player of the Game at the end of the games anymore. No commentary after you’ve won a game. How it’s looking, I am pretty sure when you win the NBA Finals, you probably won’t hear the announcers say “____ is the 2021 NBA Champions!” I could list more but it’s just bad decision making imo to have and pay for Shaq, Kenny and Ernie and not use them in the most played mode. No halftime show. You add all this presentation just to sell it short for us to have a up close and personal view of our myplayer. Makes 0 sense to me.

This might have already been answered. Sorry but I’m always late to the party lol. But is anyone else stuck at 20 minutes per game? I’m in my second year. I’ve played every game and every practice. I have maxed out badges. I can even edit the lineup. But as soon as I leave that scene it automatically sets me back as a non-starter and back at 20 mins? And no matter how good I play it doesn't ever changes? On Xbox Series S by the way.

It isn't in the city you can only access it through the MyCareer schedule.

I haven't started a mycareer yet, but I'm ready to start. I got a good enough Face Scan and might have to tinker a little with build, but I'm good to start. I'm just waiting on the next major Roster Update and Patch.

Thanks I actually like it better this way, at my fist practice and I'm curious about something, first I know I need to get better at shooting but I'm playing with aim off and I've put up probably 40 shots right now and they literally aren't going in unless I hit a green. Before shots would go in if it the timing was close and I've had a lot of close ones as far as where it need to be on the meter but they aren't falling at all. Is this happening to anybody else? Shots only going in during team practice just shooting around if it's green?

I'm asking because in shootaround before the game and during the game shots go in even if not green

I just got this game. I usually just play my career. I wish I would have known they cut the presentation. I would have never bought it. It makes this game so bland. No cut scenes, endorsements, player of the game..... much more. Ps5 is the only version that matters now.

Can anyone help me out with this it’s driving me crazy. Ever since I have had this game I can’t even play my career or get into my 2k profile it’s just keeps saying can’t connect to my 2k servers at this time I have tried everything re installing the game rebooting the ps5 and nothing will work. Anyone had this problem before? I’ve had the ps5 for 2 weeks. It will still let me download patches as I am connected to the internet

Started my Center build and hope to end up on the Grizzlies. I knew it coming in, but really dislike having to play in Rookieville just to get to the City. I have no intentions on playing online. Guess I just have to get through it. I'll get those Rookieville games out of the way after my first G-League game since I started the game and have to play it

I assumed Hendrix Cobb was a Guard, especially in the cut scenes when they first show him next to your player. But, I didn't think they would make him the same position. I guess it makes sense for story. But it was weird seeing him with a Taller Zion body but with guard skills.

It's dumb it's for the storyline much like how Jackson Ellis was the same position as you in 2k14.

The team drafts both you and Hendrix and then decides to trade Hendrix for drama in the story.

My Career 2k21 Thread

I made a PG and simulated to the All-Star break so I could keep Hendrix Cobb. I’m on the Knicks so I thought a core of me, Cobb, Barrett, Toppin, and Robinson would dope. I just got the cutscene about starting so I’m wondering if they’ll trade him in the off-season or keep him for good?
