Remember the good ol days when patches fixed bugs?

I don't understand the logic behind tweaking gameplay back and forth for an entire release cycle just to do it all over again the next year. There hasn't been a consistent gaming experience in NBA 2K for over half a decade.

The AI gameplay in this game was the best of this generation on release day. Two major patches later and the AI is playing like 2K20 again. A rim running nightmare with no dribbling IQ. Nothing in the patch notes adequately explains why the AI gameplay has changed so much from release day.

How is the shooting now?

I did notice green animations using the shot stick last night. They claim upgraded dame’s player likeness hopefully they changed his sig jumper then.

Shot creators nerfed again just like every year. It is so stupid that they tie pull up jumpshots with moving fading 3s together. So now because it is unrealistic for dudes to be hitting fading 3s they have to nerf every single moving shot. This just sets me off. I have mastered beating people off the dribble and hitting those midrange pullups witch is an extremely legit move but now that will be inconsistent because they can't nerf a sideways fading 3 separately.*

pullup midranger Were falling at nearly 90-100% with Good midrange shooters, regardless of aiming/Timing.

Still no fix when updating rosters to where you can’t equip high arm bands.

Reduced first step acceleration (aka “speedboost”) out of certain dribble moves.

For anyone playing User/CPU or CPU/CPU offline: It’s pretty obvious that the AI is running in mud again after this patch compared to pre-patch. I had to bump Accel w/ Ball Max by 10-20 in sliders to get back to pre-patch levels of ball handlers being explosive again.

If you’re having issues with this and want to revert, then check your Accel w/ Ball levels and test at higher levels.

Im on Switch, not PC, but my guess is that 1.02 + 1.03 are bundled on Switch and PC. Not sure if theyve done this on PC before but I feel like for Switch on 2k20, several patches were like that. Switch and PC both have platform specific updates listed in the 1.03 patch notes, so it would be weird to list that and not release it on those platforms.

Switch seems to have 1.02 updates like fixed 2kshare and Wiggins beard, as well as 1.03 updates like real life playoff bracket and larger meter, so it seems like a bundle. I didnt check to see the actual version number listed, but i bet it says 1.02, since for Switch users its the second patch. Makes it kind of annoying in terms of patch notes, since 1.02 for one platform could encompass the notes for 1.02+1.03 on another. But whatever. The important thing is just getting the patch

I f****** knew it!!!!
First time playing after 1.03 patch, gameplay is weird!!!
There are a lot of bugs in substitution menu where players you want to sub in are disappearing, rotation on pick and roll are also now broken and noticed weird glitches when coming back from timeout to free throws.

The problem is there is 3 different game modes (park, pvp and offline), but the gameplay patches effect global settings

The first couple pages of the patch thread are always wild.

Someone will come in guns blazing like "They deleted Kawhi Leonard from the game!!!!" then dissappear w/o a follow up. People will then escalate off that [emoji38]

Gotta give it a while.

The patch has been mostly positive on my end. Slightly's on the stick seem more reliable. Also, even though it was a big muscle memory shock I appreciate the tightening of defensive movement. If you have defensive assist on I would turn it off and adjust accordingly.

This is on the PNO/Park/Pro Am side.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I'd like to see them fix the computer generated players in MyLeague draft classes. They all have "very slow" releases by default.

Last nights I have played a few games in MLO. Good defense system, Shoots Balanced between 3 point and midrange. The match became adaptive with our systems of the game. Very fun Matches. The game rewarded good defense.

After Patch, my opponent, with same slide, he made 15/26 from 3point line.
With D'angelo Russell, Murray, Forbes and Giannis. Not Splash Brothers.
The Badges powers up too much in this game now. My opponent scored 3 shoots with my player glued at him.
My players now sleep, with my opponent used floppy scheme.
I've scored with three point shoots, mid range attack doesn't work anymore.

I've the same sensations of last year. Very casual game basketball.


I'm tired with this game, with this company. Very frustated.

2K Sports is consistent. This will be what...4 years in a row where the game was great out of the box until they started patching it?
