People don't care much about the pandemic here in the U.S. In some areas where I live it's almost like there's isn't even a problem. Many store don't even require a mask anymore. Yet cases are steadily rising. So if people can't take into consideration their on safety and well being, you can't expect them to care much about how Covid19 would affect their favorite holiday toys.

Live 10 was really special in certain aspects

        4K footage from IGN. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcBe4P-abl0

created a players and unscanned faces are the same and will have the generic head presets from the past 2 games. They will look even worst now next to the improved next gen models.

That was pretty underwhelming but we didn't get to see any real offense outside of floppy action. I want to see multi-pass possessions and how the defense rotates and how pass/catch animations play out. I want to see how motion/continuity stuff works and if it's faster and easier to run. Are we finally going to get a 2K that allows us to play like modern NBA teams?

I'm staying off of 2K until we can have frequent possessions with several passes, rotations, etc. I want beautiful team basketball. I don't want to run only quick hitters and PnR all game long because sets and motion are too slow and clunky to get into.

Think it looked good. Zion dunk reaction looked weak. Seen some people complaining about defense but you have to remember it's two users who probably have played this game hundreds of times and just needed to record a quick video.

This forum is not really the smartest place when it comes to common sense.

2k is showing off next gen gameplay without cuts or edits and you see people complain about defense, it's not supposed to be a video where they will show 3mins of shooting bricks and missed layups.

That Rail Cam looks like it’s going to be perfect for offline games & the few of us CPU/CPU types.

First things first; I wish this video was in 4K. Why tease us with a 1080p jawn!

                        Graphics
Solid — it’s what I expected based off the screenshots and trailers. Crisp, detailed, yet very familiar to what we’ve come to know in the graphics department from 2K. However, on the PS4 Pro 2K really wasn’t lacking dramatically when it came to graphics.

                        Defense
I can’t judge it yet. Number one, the players aren’t focused so that doesn’t bode for the defense at all. Two, that looks like Pro or Allstar level at the highest. Defense and CPU reactions are slower on those levels by design.

These teams also aren’t defensive maestros in real life, so nothing to talk about here — This is was designed to be more of a highlight clip.

                        Animations & Footplanting
Dayyyum! The subtleties in the defensive stances, dribbling, step backs and the contact alley-up? Tell me that didn’t look like Zion mo-capped that one his dam self! The step backs finally look smooth without awkward hitches that you never see from NBA players. Steph created plenty of space on the step back and I pray the park/Rec don’t patch the fluidity and spacing on the court of next gen...

Also, I’m hoping we can really feel the weight in the paint and when attacking the rim as promised. It looks like 2K, but smoother now and I’m HOPING much more responsive with controller inputs without delay like last gen.

                        Audio & Presentation
Come on, 2K! We talking about the arenas again knowing dam well there has been several threads about the audio for YEARS. I knew this was the year for my surround sound system to thrive with the PS5, but NOPE.

It’s very disappointing they are trying to sell us on different commentator teams when I feel like that was an addition 2-3 years ago already... they HAVE to do better in this department.

All in all I was very pleased with what I saw. I’m not inspecting it thru a microscope because this video isn’t for the thoroughbred SIM heads — it was to hype up the common demographic and that sure as hell isn’t me.

The 12th can’t come soon enough

I understand having some issues but I keep seeing the same names continously be negative towards the game lol. The same names. Someone said you keep defending. Well why does the same users constantly keep criticizing? You obviously don't like the game. Continue to have fun with current generation.

Never forget its a video game. When we have the game the guys that pre ordered will give you guys REAL feedback. Not feedback off of blogs and a 3 min video. Me personally I play to have fun. Some player getting stuck in a screen doesn't bother me. Somebody didn't provide help defense? I know its a game. Those load times! Can't wait! Can you imagine playing myleague games with no load times!?!?!?!?

Also looks great to me. Big improvements over current. Thats my opinion though. Will be a massive improvement playing it on a 4k TV though. Not watching a 1080p video from Twitter.
IMO most of it stems from the almost total lack of resources given to 2K21 current gen which had a full pricetag--I know for a fact that put a really bad taste in my mouth and I didn't even buy it lol.

I'm def not a graphics whore but I know i'm in the minority, visuals sell games. Gamplay is KING to me and the one thing I think is reasonable is a developer resolving most of the legacy issues from the previous gen. If not? Like, what are we even doing? I might as well just keep the previous system if 70% of the issues remain. I'm definitely sitting this year out but the bigger issue is that the gameplay leap just isnt there IMO.

I need more than faster load times, a new camera and a better fan if i'm getting a new system lol.

                              This x1000

I don't think a lot people understand how much the lack of rotations/help defense is sucking the fun out of this game. It's why we've seen so much nerfing of offensive animations and boosted on-ball defense to balance the game in past 2k's.

Tags on rolls, nail help on middle drives, trapping the box on baseline drives
(the weakside low man sinking as the big comes over to protect the rim--2nd defender zones up and takes first pass followed by X-outs (weakside switches)....etc....there's next to none of this is happening in 2k.

Just hope it was a programming restriction on last gen and we start to see this stuff implemented in the future. I trust Mike Wang, DCzar and the rest of the gameplay design team knows how much new life it would breath into this game.
