On top of this it would be nice if we could get younger versions of players. For example is it too much to ask to just remove Dwight Howard's tattoos for the All-Time Magic team? Or DeAndre Jordan's hair cropped on the '14 Clippers

Robert Horry of the 1993-94 houston rockets render needs to be updated. He wore a box cut hairstyle while playing for the rockets (as shown in the pic below.)

And also Kenny Smith needs to be updated

Derek Fisher had hair during his second season playing for the 1997-98 los angeles lakers. In the game his render is from years later.

And Rick Fox were either bald or had a hairstyle that were popular during that era while playing for the 1997-98 los angeles lakers. His render needs to be updated

Derek Fisher render is horrendous especially considering he’s in the game as a coach. Just make his facial hair black and call it a day.

On the topic of guys like Dawkins, Brickowski, and Higgins (aka guys who were cut or released midseason) I've always had the feel that was a conscious decision by 2K to help fill those rosters with real players. Without them, it'd just be another generic John Brown at the end of the bench so I don't sweat their existence too much.

Ronnie said Bynum’s rights were the reason the championship teams weren’t the game. But 8 out of the 14 players on the 2008 Lakers playoff roster are in the game. There are teams in the game with less players.

Now with the recent additions of:
Wes Matthews, Wayne Cooper, Winston Bennett, John Long they should remove them for accuracy purposes as it wouldn’t hurt the roster as bad as years prior.

All I want to see is an increased level of detail to the retro rosters. There’s no reason a bi-monthly update to include more players who likeness rights have been secured can’t be added to fill out rosters.

Mistakes like not having Patrick McCaw on 16/17 Warriors but do have them on 18/19 Raptors is just pure lack of attention to detail.

All i am asking for is accuracy in every detail. I wish 2k would hire people from the NLSC community to work in the art department.

Those aren't mistakes so much as roster decisions. You're talking about removing current, identifiable star players from All-Time teams.

There isn't a single Knicks fan alive that prefers Bill Bradley (career 12 PPG, not in the Hall for his on-court contributions) over Kristaps Porzingis.

Trae Young is already a better player than Lenny Wilkins ever was, and is very obviously going to be a top 5 player in franchise history. After only two seasons, he's 4th in franchise PPG behind Nique, Pettit, and Maravich. He's 1st in APG. He's 10th in 3PM, will probably be 5th at the conclusion of his 3rd season, and the franchise leader by year 5.

Robert Reid was a fringe starter with no accolades besides playing 10 years w/ the Rockets and you're advocating him being there over Chris Paul.

Khris Middleton (2x All-Star, 44 playoff games, entering his 8th year w/ Bucks) is better than Glenn Robinson (2x All-Star, 26 playoff games, 8 years).

This is a lot different than biographical information being off or a player being missing from a Classic team. It's not cut & dry, context is required.

That's why I posted it as feedback. I do agree you could make an argument for Porzingis as Ideally Harry Gallatin would be his replacement but he's not available.

                      Regarding the other players:

Robert Reid, I have him on the All-Time List because he's 4th in Games played, 5th in Mins Played, 7th in FG, 6th in Defensive Win Shares and 9th in franchise win shares. I'd take him being a decent addition deserving of a spot over Chris Paul who played only two seasons in Houston and is featured already on two other teams in game (Clippers/Pelicans)

Lenny Wilkens - 5x all-Star, 2nd place in MVP voting and a KEY player in St. Louis Hawks history. Argument could be made to maybe not replace Trae Young as you said he may be a future all time franchise guy as well but Lenny should definitely be included on the All-Time team.

Glenn Robinson - Same argument that he should be included on the All-Time team. 2x All-Star, 21ppg in 8 seasons with Milwaukee, all rookie 1st team and Middleton is already featured on the current rosters.

We differ and that's okay but outside of Bill Bradley, I don't think the above players were big stretches if added.

Middleton is not a better player than Big Dog Robinson at all. I would love to see Middleton carry a team to the playoffs without having the MVP by his side or go off on the defending champs in their building like Big Dog did. To have Middleton on the all time team at this stage of his career is premature and the only reason 2k put him on the all time bucks is because they couldnt get big dog Robinson to come on board in regards to licensing imo. The same applies for Trae Young.

Don't really mind who is on the all-time teams. Just make every player that's in the game accessible across all game modes

The 65+ demographic generally don't play video games. Nobody born in the last 30 years is looking to play as Harry Gallatin.

Accolades require context. An All-Star selection in 2020 means more than an All-Star selection in 1950. Gallatin was a 7x All-Star in what was effectively the G-League.

Giving heavy weight to service time & tenure is always going to favor older era players that didn't have the luxury of free agency. Giving him a spot over Amare Stoudemire, Kristaps Porzingis, or even Tyson Chandler (all 1x All-Stars w/ the Knicks) is missing the forest for the trees.

Robert Reid, I have him on the All-Time List because he's 4th in Games played, 5th in Mins Played, 7th in FG, 6th in Defensive Win Shares and 9th in franchise win shares. Nobody is playing with these teams to use the 1980s equivalent of Trevor Ariza.

Chris Paul only played two seasons with the Rockets, but he was also the best PG in franchise history during that time. It's not far from snubbing Kevin Durant from the All-Time Warriors.

Joe Caldwell, Tree Rollins, and Kyle Korver would all come to mind before the Hawks current franchise player.

Glenn Robinson - Same argument that he should be included on the All-Time team. 2x All-Star, 21ppg in 8 seasons with Milwaukee, all rookie 1st team and Middleton is already featured on the current rosters.
That's the point though. The All-Time rosters are a combination of past and present. I'm pretty certain most Bucks fans would prefer Middleton, and as with Trae Young he isn't close to being the next guy cut (Jon McGlocklin, Brian Winters, Paul Pressey).

                            -----

I think the purpose of the topic is to draw attention to conclusive areas that need attention. It's a fact that Patrick McCaw is missing from one of his teams, just as Kendrick Perkins and Tony Allen were missing from their teams in prior years.

My ultimate point is that boxing in the objective info alongside something clearly subjective detracts from it's perceived importance.

Beyond the on-court production (which clearly favors one player) Middleton is also regarded as a much better defensive player (whereas Big Dog was overwhelmingly viewed as a negative). The Bucks had the #1 defense the last two seasons, while the 2000-2002 Bucks ranked 26th, 20th, and 23rd respectively.

I would love to see Middleton carry a team to the playoffs without having the MVP by his side or go off on the defending champs in their building like Big Dog did.
Big Dog took the Bucks to the playoffs three times in 8 years. They were stomped out of the first round twice.

He played worse in the playoffs (42% shooting), not better.

He was the 3rd best player on the 2001 team behind Ray Allen & Sam Cassell.

To have Middleton on the all time team at this stage of his career is premature
Not if you're looking at it objectively.

Btw, here's Middleton having a better playoff game (w/o Giannis) than Glenn Robinson ever had in his entire career (he never cracked 30 - Middleton has done that 4 times).
