Almost every player haircut is wrong

I mean, I know there’s a pandemic and it’s hard to scan- but how hard is it to just change the cuts?? Especially if u have so many cuts in the archive.

I mean I follow the Blazers and right now CJ (fro), Melo (Cornrows), RoCo (dreads), Hood (Fro), Gary Trent (Dreads), Collins (longer brown hair), Derrick Jones (dreads), Simons (long Afro) all have old haircuts.

Honestly feels like playing with last season rosters unfortunately
You won't always be the best shooter. You won't always be the best rebounder, or defender, either. What you can always do the best though, is play hard. Once you do that, Everything else will take care of itself.

A lot of these dudes have just rolled out of bed for camp. Let’s hold off a bit before we decide that half of the league has suddenly committed to having longer hair and that 2k has to waste a bunch of time on that instead fixing actual bugs.

Not just current but also classic players haircuts are wrong

Robert Horry of the 1993-94 houston rockets render needs to be updated. He wore a box cut hairstyle while playing for the rockets (as shown in the pic below.)

And also Kenny Smith needs to be updated

Derek Fisher had hair during his second season playing for the 1997-98 los angeles lakers. In the game his render is from years later.

And Rick Fox were either bald or had a hairstyle that were popular during that era while playing for the 1997-98 los angeles lakers. His render needs to be updated

They aren’t going to do this every time a player gets a haircut and it’s just unrealistic to even think they would.

This dude is worried about a haircut with all of the gameplay flaws & whats so sad about it is 2k will respond to it before working on the bugs on the game. Really?

Lmao this is kinda silly man. When you mention the pandemic, what makes you think 2k even knew that for example Jones and Melo had braids now ? lol I think what you should be complaining about is the fact that every player changed their hairstyle.

2k apologists on this forum are hilarious. Going from thread to thread belittling the OPs concerns within the thread and asking why aren’t they concerned with a completely different topic that aligns with them.
Mainly find this within the art threads.
At the end of the day yes, 2k has many outdated players with a huge amount of players looking the same for years and assets ported from last gen, no matter how many of you refuse to believe it, it’s true.
The only thing I will say is this being an art related concern it could of gone in the art feedback thread.
Now someone go ahead and reply to this with some excuse for 2k like they paying you

I'd also agree to wait until the season gets going for updated haircuts. 2K tried to get a jump on certain players like Anthony Davis and Markieff Morris by giving them their hairstyles from the Bubble (AD with mini dreads and Morris with cornrows) but then they cut their hair back when camp started. I'm sure a lot of these players will get several hair options on Next Gen as the season rolls out.

Lebron’s hairline could look a little thinner and his beard could be squared off and fuller along the body of the mandible.

Hairstyles can change on the weekly or even daily, I prefer 2k not spend a lot of time worried about that. Only way they would know what a players hair will be is if they have a spy camera in their house.

Bro you are just as bad as the OP. They aren’t sitting in the office or home monitoring these players Instagram accounts watching for when they braid their hair or cut them. If the player keeps the look for a decent amount of time they’ll probably update them. If it’s a star player like LeBron, then they may do it quicker. They have slacked in the past, but they’ve been doing a much better job for 21.

You know how the "This isn't NBA Live" crowd does, these sky high standards...as if Live '19 updated daily or something [emoji38]

I'm 100% for likeness updates though, not mad at the OP at all, even though I disagree with "almost everyone" being off.

Things like Melo's braids, that debuted 2 days ago, I mean, outside of Lala sending you text updates I'm not sure how 2K's supposed to be on top of that...guess I'm a an apologist for understanding that. Same with guys who constantly alternate hair/beard length.

Guys that have gone months (years for a couple) without a proper update is a different story.

This is all stuff we should be putting in the Art Thread.

Just so people know, some of these guys have different hair styles you can select in their individual player page. Its under accessories and you can change different hair styles between a few guys. SGA for example, can go from his fro with head band ti his braids hair style. There are more out there too.
