For the G Leaguers 99 potential, I believe that is more of a roster issue. You can manually do a mass-edit to the potential ratings on each G League team. Not that you should have to, but just technically speaking (I think).

Also, where is the G League Ignite team? Are they in the game, and can we draft those guys in the upcoming draft? Anyone know?

Definitely noticed the 99 potential too. It’s def a roster thing. I’m going to delete all the G league players and replaced them with Free Agents once final cuts are made.

RE Ignite: they aren’t an affiliated G League if I’m not mistaken so all of their games against the other teams are merely exhibition. They do need to add a “G League” choice in the Vitals section for draft class player edits though.

If any of you old heads who remember me out here want to convince me I'm missing out, I am totally open to hearing it.

Your definitely not missing out. Draft classes were awful before now they are absurd. Same high attributes as before but now a abundance of 99 speed, verticle, stamina and dunks EVERYWHERE. Editing was a pain before with draft classes now its total time consuming hell. They have been ignoring generated draft classes for years like their good. They've been flawed for years. Now they are worse.

The attribute progression bug is ridiculous. You can't prevent players from becoming 99 3point Steph Curry's now. It doesn't work. They always progress. No matter what I do. I tried putting every attribute on -50 for growth and all young players still progressed. Boom or bust doesn't work. Every young player is still progressing. Players getting faster and faster. So many 99 speed guys if you sim ahead years. Nothing you can do.

No word from 2k. Nothing was in this latest patch for these absurd mynba bugs. Idk its crazy. Operation sports users find these types of bugs every year but nothing is ever done to fix them. Not a word ever. Year to year same problems then added problems. Not worth it. Myleague bugs weren't getting fixed so why have hope for mynba? I just would really like to know why they don't fix myleague/mynba bugs. We are paying customers trying to enjoy a mode you provide. Can you make sure it works correctly? Myleague been the same for years at least throw us some bug fixes sometimes.

Same issues. Guys progressing to 99 mid, 3point, speed ect. Offline is hideous right now with attribute progression not working. Generated players are super human with 99 speed, stamina, vertical and dunks. Just wish a 2k developer would read this thread. Could be small fixes idk.

I don't have the game now, but back when I saw this issue a few years ago, it was training that I had to adjust, along with draft classes. I had to make a new set of default training templates for players because the way that training was allocated across skills was making shooting way OP.

So I made new default templates that reallocated some training away from shooting skills and had to manually enable them for every team using 30 team control.

There was a lot of testing involved but I found this to be a better solution than just puling down the main training effects slider, because dampening overall training did not address how the shape of the training effects across skills was uneven. This also allowed the league to develop more varied player archetypes, with more two-way type players, athletic bigs who fit the modern NBA better, etc.

I tried with training on 0. No change. You can lower the progession slider and it will slow progression but attribute progession doesn't work so they will still progress to unrealistic attributes. I tried with training on 0 and all attribute progression sliders on -50 for growth and everyone still progressed. Same with peak and decline. They just don't work.

This along with superhuman draft classes makes for a terrible offline experience for some. I keep seeing all young players progress so I don't think the boom or bust system is working either. I haven't really tested it (like 2k) so I don't really know. I've only tested attribute progression. Just been editing these terrible draft classes hoping for some fixes.

The sliders wouldn't work for this generation game anyway. The potential hack is going after progression not through "progression" or "regression" sliders but through the training templates. I hope it works for you, but it will require experimentation. They deleted the sub-sliders on 3pt and mid range shooting a couple of years ago anyway so my old training template changes would not translate 100% anyway.

Good luck. Try this angle of approach and target reallocating training resources from OP attributes to other attributes that represent player archetypes/skills that you think are getting crowded our in years +3, +4, +5, etc.

Are we seeing progression issues mostly in the “growth” phase of a players career? If so we may be able to global edit players to begin their peak phase sooner.

Maybe. There are a few tricks to limit progression but the issue still remains attribute progression doesn't work at all. They are there so you can customize progression how you want it. They just don't work. Not for growth, peak or decline. Follow LorenzoDC post. It puts a halt on inflating progression.

2K Patchhhhhhhhhh (don't forget draft classes, add more stat overlays while your at it) I really hope they don't leave us stuck with these bugs like usual. Attribute progression and draft classes are kinda important. They did leave us with the big men shooting 3's bug a few years ago in myleague. Centers like Dwight Howard would chuck up like 300 3's a season. They left it in. This was before every player thought they were Steph and actually played their position.

The most effective fix, even though it is no doubt resource intensive, is to implement potential rating caps for the individual ratings (or categories, shooting, athleticisim, defense, etc) for each player. That way guys cant progress continually until they get 99 in 3pt shooting.
