So since a large part of the 2K online community wasn't trash enough, we now got some ip booters who are active on 2K21. Fun stuff. These are the basement dwellers that give the gaming community a bad name...

Hope they realize it's also illegal

Lol well internet has gone down before while playing xbox but I guess I just figured it was the internet company. The frequency has gone up a lot on next gen. Ik it happens on other games, which is exactly a reason why the gaming community sometimes gets a bad reputation. Trash talk? Sure. IP booting over a video game? Something very wrong with someone's brain at that point.

Already do. Part of the problem is how accepted this crap is in the online community. If someone is working from home, imagine how the internet being down can f with someone's livelihood. That's way over the line. I'd laugh if one of these ip booters went to prison.

I don't know if anyone accepts it, there are just limited ways to stop it. Like I said man, not quite a new rage. You can find 7 year old videos on it.

What exactly is "IP booting"?

There are actual apps where you enter someone's gamertag and get their IP address and with a push of a button can shut down their whole internet. Basically DDOS their home router.

Lol never said it's super new, but in my experience it's gotten worse, since any bum can now just go to a website or app to boot someone. These clowns should be made an example of in the gaming community. Why is this accepted? Why do you think PC 2K21 is the red headed step child. Plenty of people WFH now and wifi is essential, so it's bs we can't even go online to play a Videogame without dealing with some mentally deformed clown. Shouldn't be acceptable in the gaming community.
