It's crazy to think that some spend over $200(including game) on 2k and other sports games every year. Thats why it won't change. If they are making billions off of microtransactions alone, why change it.

That's why I preferred Live's The One approach. If the gameplay was on the same level as 2k, I would have chosen Live over 2k. You start out at 70 OVR. You can't spend money to progress your player, but you can get you progress relatively fast, just by grinding. I remember getting to 90 OVR relatively fast in The One. On one hand, $10-30 doesn't seem like much to get your build to 70-80 OVR. But on the other hand, i shouldn't have to spend $10-30 extra on top of what I'm paid for game just so my build is playable right away. Keep that pay to win approach for mobile games and online portion of MyCareer
I have 2 points to add.

    1) the guy saying don't do endorsments - I believe in doing them for the most part and negotiating a little bit. If you get 35 VC/game vs 31/game but have 4-5 incentives - at level 2 they are 450vc and 900 in level 3. Getting the equivalent over the course of just games would be about 10x. So 450 divided by 35 is 12 games and change. That's a LOT of time. So I do them, some are impossible or not suitable for my player and that's fine because there are enough there that multiple endorsements allow me at time to get 2 in one game. So there was a game I got 3k VC for example. No matter how you slice it - it's a crazy grind. My 3pt shot is at 65 and the next 'click' is 1k VC, and up as I go - I think getting to 80 would be over 30k VC for example.

    2) Forget ovrall for offline. I realized that my SF build right now at 74ovr is maybe going to be more fun than if and when he gets to 90. My stats are legit, I'm having fun and playing the way I like. Even my stats that are low like 3pt I still can drop them. Some games I'm like 3-4 or 3-5, others 0-2 ...that's fine! I can rebound dunk and I'm blocking shots almost 2/game. Rebounding is good too around 7/gm ... so it's like do I want to carry the team on my back every second of every game? idk online is different obviously, but even there when I did the park games below 70 I was valuable as I had assists and blocks and rebounds, just couldn't shoot

Try to get the daily bonus award. Sometimes they give out random VC but usually you'll get some lame prize. I got lucky one day and got 10,000 VC.

Also try playing other modes. WNBA MyCareer games give you 500 VC per game.

Just play season games. Im already 99.99 after 1 season. Choose more per game incentives in endorsements rather than discounts or the one time payment.

Is there some better way, faster way to get VC?
If you play 2K, you have to pay for VC if you want your player to be half way decent. It's just the reality of playing this game til a boycott or new competitor happens.

or just grind it out. I always grind it out and don't buy VC and manage to reach 90 around the end of the season. Once you hit 80 getting VC gets easier imo.

We mainly play myleague but me and some other members of the league decided to play some park since lockdown in germany came back again in december. One of my friends startet with no VC at all and got to 95+ within a month of playing.

Re: How are y'all stacking up VC?

My boy just got into the game(this years, he's a long term 2k player) and he said he got banned. Haha. He was doing that thing we all did/do and finally convinced him to... either simcast live or full cpu games, just let it do work to earn VC. He said he earned a bunch of VC then got banned.

I DUNNO, I didn't know that stuff was illegal. Even tho it is legit VC mining. I didn't get banned. He was saying maybe they thought he was doing it automatically with a program controller or something, so I told him to write them and tell them he wasn't. Kinda weird. That's def my go to for early year vc. I don't primarily use it, I play the game, too, but I use that to get some pretty good VC.

I also can't vouch that the story he told me is 100% true, but I've known him for a long time and he's always seemed like a straight up dude, so I have no reason to doubt him.

I would recommend the opposite. Incentives that give 15 VC vs a one time 3500 VC payment? You need over 200 games where you reach that incentive to get the same amount of VC.

on 2k19 i grinded play the games no $ spent got up to 91 overall

2k20 i was lazy only got up to 76 ovr just was not in to it only got it to play park

2k21 i am waited for a ps 5 ps4 is the same game from 20 i might get it during the late spring just to play park i d'ont spend $

here is how to use the system to your edge

1 unless u like to Dibble its easyer to rep up when u are a C/PF
2 put it on pro just so u can get stats i couild score 50 pts 20 reb a game on 12 min q
3 unlees u want stats play 8 min q 12 min games are at least a hour 30
4 make friends who play park then u can do 2 things
1 Boost i wouild not do this unless u dont mind u rep going down
2 over time make 5-10 friends who park all day and run up wins if u get real good go to stage

5 play about 40 games then sim to playoffs and play every playoff games over 2-3 seasons this method shouild earn 100k-200k a season

I play every game no simming and around the start of the playoffs I always manage to reach 90.
