Who on Team Black do you think was using a modded controller?

The way to get rid of it would be like making the release not the same point every time? I dunno, stuff like this is depressing, and yea it's not new. People been doing shady stuff since the beginning... still, like the cackling joy of the dude who was shooting those 3s, it's sad. If they just started banning people, it would be better. You'd lose a lot.

That'd probably be the way to do it best, some sort of an 'advanced' anti-cheat script that would pick up what would only be possible on a mod control and flag it. Review the data of the player's recent games, ban some really egregious cases and everyone will chill on it.

But, once again... that shooting is the one part of 2k that you could use this with is pretty sad. It's not gonna help you do all of the other parts of the game, which are HARDER. So they just need to address it, and hopefully on ps5, it won't ever be a problem, cuz I'm prolly gonna be in it for 22. Maybe at least.

And yea I've seen many many more people. Anyone who is averaging like 25ppg in rec has one. Almost always. There are people who have them and don't have that, tho. Fun to stop them and watch them air ball a 90% contest, but in the end it doesn't stop that they have a huge advantage to make every shot esp from the corner.

the easiest way to grt rid of this is to remove 100% Green Releases.

It'd help but they'd still have an advantage. They got dribble moves n all that. Making the game more complex would help. If dribble spam made u lose ball or certain levels of defense made a dribble spam lose ball etc.

But Yea green release needs to go. I dono how I feel about shot timing being different in diff spots. I just think there needs to be way less emphasis on such a meh part or bball. So many other factors that determine a winner. U see the shots n dunks sure but the real game is happening with much more complexity.. I'd Def like to see less emphasis but as we have discussed that green is an endorphins boost so that's why when people use that control for the first time on a vid it's like they're getting laid.

But Yea having a perfect stick down release sucks but I agree w a dude I read on reddit. Most are timing. My boy is out there greening with a 76 3 and no badges (he got em now), and not just from corner. But even he gets slightly off sometimes.

I'll post more vids at some point.
          Nhling atm.

Edit: I'll even move to cpu and narrate n point out the sus parts. I don't know why people don't believe it.

I’m straight with you Smak but there was nothing suspect in that video at all. They missed tons of wide open shots. Halfway through the 3rd, their main shooter was shooting 7/14 from 3. I’m not sure you understand how these devices work. You don’t miss the shots you’ve programmed for. At all. Unless the contest totally negates your ability to green it. If the shot has a green window between 550ms and 570ms, they basically program the device to hold their shoot button for 560ms every time. That’s it. Or for aiming they can program it to pull the analog to a certain location every time.

As 24 alluded to, using something like a Cronus is less practical/effective in a 5 v 5 mode. You can’t program for multiple players unless they all had identical green windows. So they could set their Cronus up to make Curry a God but it wouldn’t help with the rest of the team. On top of that, on next gen, different spots on the court have different timing. It could be that script writers have found a way to program multiple timings but it would definitely be less fluid to use. It relies on the users input - it can’t dynamically figure out where you are on the court.

They haven't figured that out yet, and hopefully this stays the case. As it is now, your better off mastering your jumper Next Gen (or fading, lol)

Thanks for putting it more eloquently. Didn't want to come off as in denial or a know it all, but we've learned a lot since these things started popping up. I don't know if there's a solid fix for current gen though.

Another reason it's not as viable for 5v5 is because it eliminates the ability to use certain face buttons, so you're not able to say- steal or call for a pick etc. Things you can get away with in Park/Rec. Purely shooting though, unfortunately on CG the release/aiming points are static enough that you can actually use them in a 5v5 situation as well with some effort....

Gotta understand too, some players can muscle memory their way to 15/15 from 3 without extra assistance. That's the issue with shooting in this game in the first place, lol

The guy I played used the current warriors and had 66 points with curry at the half on 22 3 pointers. He shot the 3 from only two different spots on the court and those two spots were mirror images on eachother.

Ok well then yes, in that scenario he could have been using a Cronus. Especially if you saw them dropping with decent contests (like between 15-40) since contests narrow the green window. Someone with great muscle memory can legitimately shoot 90% on wide open 3s (like 24 said, that’s the big problem with greens) but it definitely becomes suspect if they’re still hitting them consistently through light/medium contests.

Yeah, and it was in the middle every time. You can also take 'bad shots', each contest also makes it less likely to hit shots. They are on 'timing' not on aiming.

You know you can't green/make every shot haha.

Edit: I got more vids but I just forgot what a grab it is to usb them from ps4. I want to speak while it's on so I can point to things I find suspicious.

I dunno man, it might have worked on NG. I just played someone w/ a center down perf release, but he was on my team. I kinda just decided whatever and just hit him for the shots I normally would. It's whatever. I'm not exaggerating when I say I see one person I suspect of having one a night and I don't ever play that many games a night anymore, 2-3-4. I was playing my shooter vs all star bots and I was thinking... it's just that there are organic shots and non organic shots. I tried to explain that before. There are just shots that are suspicious. I know I've seen people with them. I haven't played so if this was implemented today, I can't speak on it, but it was either night or last night stuff was in.

I'm not sure if I have the center release vid or not, but I think I do. I guess I'll post it if I do. I mean, if I stop seeing it, I'll be the first one to be like ah it's gone. At this point, I'm just accepting it. I'M NOT CRAZY haha. I dunno what to say beyond that. I just came here like man I just wanna tell dudes I give up and I accept it now. I even made plays for a guy... but I hope it is fixed as of today. It's annoying. If I'm out there tho I can stop them. It's still annoying.

Yea inconclusive at this point, I only ran a few gms but one person was suspicious. Dudes I think are looking for too obvious. Like center down. BTW video is up.

People have timing too, yknow there is lag. I've played w a lot of good shooters because every nba gm is shooting and I'd be one of two or in a lot of recent games the only big. I've seen a lot v and for. I've never seen trash people be so good at shooting. I've never seen people play a whole game and hit only perfect or middle. Back in nba live 05 I was only hitting 90% of my fts on superstar online with the t meter. I think that was pretty good tho. Ive rarely gotten the same spot straight middle more than a few times.

Granted there are windows but there was a window there too. Sometimes you gotta see it bigger like on re-watch to see how it's not straight middle but sometimes it is. That's pretty crazy muscle memory for the average 2k player and like I said 2k is notoriously laggy with input lag.

Even w zen I've never seen someone green 9/10, maybe pre first fix. But Yea I hope it's fixed now and tho someone on our team was super wet, it was t suspicious.
