Beluba has gone silent for 6 weeks...Ronnie 2K just ignores it...Da Czar has ignored anything to do with the AI being poor (his job)...

Even the Christmas stuff has not changed...Christmas was over 3 weeks ago...

Hopefully stuff starts happening again. It is ridiculously easy to tweet that an update is in the works...

It is hard not look at 2K nowadays and think of them like EA.

I use to say this about madden devs that goes super silent for a month or two and that is go silent on 2k with your wallet when it's time for release day show them how it feels

At the 6 minute mark he also says there was a roster update for next-gen and not for current-gen (which is false). Opining and spitting facts aren't exactly the same thing.

Every 2K dev that's on Twitter: it's their personal account and their engagement is their choice. Lots of people on the internet don't know how to handle this and think they are entitled to engagement.

You know.... like people on the internet who feel the need to NAME DROP on forums like this is a playground, rather than just refer to the company.

It is hard not look at 2K nowadays and think of them like EA.

Which again - is their CHOICE. They do it for the love of what they work on. They aren't paid to promote.

If you want to call out the company - that's fine. Going out of your way to call out specific people without knowing the full story is ****ty and screams ignorance.

Posts like this are precisely WHY they don't interact when they're navigating rocky waters. The amount of sensitive-***-Karens out there who think every misstep is a personal slight against them is vast in number. It's an act of futility and detracts from getting the work done.

Now on the point. This game is completely broken. It’s the most unbalanced, unrealistic, arcadey it has ever been. It is genuinely a terrible game. And this is their next gen release?

They’ve clearly abandoned the game this year. And to the people comparing this broken game to EA? EA has its faults, but there is no way they would/have ever let a game release and play out like it does months after release. 2K are a complete joke that has released a complete joke a game this year. Let’s see what 2K22 has in store I guess...

You may want re read my post...I did not call people out.

I simply stated facts:
Beluba posted ton pre release / has not posted for ages post release.

Ronnie 2K won’t update on any patch news.

Da Czar explained how the AI will work a lot pre release...but has not commented on all the D AI holes.

Those are all simply facts. People can judge for themselves my friend as to what they think of those facts.

As a consumer, all I want to know is whether a patch is coming. I have spent ages on edits for the D, but if a patch is coming I will stop and wait.

Pre release there was tons of communication... post release way less.

Screaming personal stuff ‘you prob suck at your job’ just suggests to me you are a a kid, so I will let that ride. But most people ‘are’ accountable for mistakes / bugs / problems with their work.

For some reason, around here, you can’t voice your opinion, but your speaking 100% facts, 2k is down big, kinda have been since 2k18, 2k17 was the last good decent 2k with a bunch of updates and awareness overall

The game obviously hasn't been abandoned and a patch is coming eventually, but 2K as a company NEEDS to be better with their communication. That's a completely fair expectation. Me personally, I'm not looking for weekly reassurance from the devs private accounts on my personal gameplay expectations, but there are so many outstanding technical issues across most modes that weigh down the experience before you even get on the court. A simple acknowledgement that they're aware of the issues, even if you can't give a definitive fix date would go a long way, but they let this stuff simmer.

I have only bothered to make one other thread here in the past year or so (defensive AI) and a lot of people were helpful....these forums have sadly gone a long way downhill over the years (I was a regular when they first started two decades ago) so I rarely post...but the defense AI holes warranted a reappearance.

The thread I started on D AI had many helpful posts though....and then there was you, posting non stop about ‘your’ roster. Which had nothing to do with the thread....

Ironically, the LG Celtic roster you somehow sidetracked the thread with constant criticism of, turned out to be great. The best I have tried, by far.

....your username kind of suggests a ‘slight’ bias. If you don’t feel like people who buy a game deserve some basic info post release about fairly significant bugs, then all power to you my friend.

Other people feel a bit differently. So, you have said your bit. Thanks. Let’s not sidetrack every thread.

Actually, young whippersnapper, I'm probably known for being one of 2K's biggest critics over the last two decades.

The difference is, I levy my complaints towards the studio/company, rather than specific employees.

Do try to understand the difference.

I've met all three of the people referenced. They're real people, and some of the hardest working people in the industry. Sorry if I won't stand idly by while some peon tries to pin overarching issues on a handful of people that are doing the absolute best they can with the hand they're dealt.

If you think singling out the bus driver for being late is going to get you to your destination faster, much less fix the systemic issues that may have lead to a blip in service, good luck with that.

And to the people comparing this broken game to EA? EA has its faults, but there is no way they would/have ever let a game release and play out like it does months after release.

A month is a fairly significant amount of time to not say anything...

Because they aren't done patching and working the game. I get that phrases "They've abandoned the game" adds a bit of "umph" to voicing our frustrations and a good eye catching title for a video, but I like to get right to the issue. The issue here is with their poor communication with their customers. We are in the dark as of right now...whether it be with your P&R issues or anything else.
