People who are bad at games will always point the finger at anything other than themselves. Bad luck, the rigged game, their teammates, anything so that they don't have to micro-analyze their own performance & decisions.

This is all games, not specifically 2K (though this is an example that people have cited the last 20 years). Letting go of ego and accepting you are bad is the first step towards being good at something.

(If badges like Clutch Shooter or Tireless Defender are the issue, being aware of who has these badges is one example of a level-up moment)

There is no ‘comeback code.’ It’s called momentum, and badge combination. If you’ve been playing 2k for all these years, and can’t recognize when the momentum begins to swing, that’s a YOU problem. That’s what you have timeouts for. Did you think timeouts were there simply to restore your players energy?

And anyone who pays attention knows that the momentum swings are wider in the second half of the 4th quarter.

I agree some what but what determines momentum in 2K?

IRL coming out of a timeout with a great play to score, turnovers, even hitting a FT can start momentum.
