What Defensive Settings do you use?

Hi all,
I'm just curious as to what defensive settings you all use when playing the CPU? Do you have general settings for the entire team or do you customise the settings for each individual player on your opposition?

Right now most of the settings dont have the desired effect or an effect at all.


I usually set the PnR defense though "go over/under" and "catch hedge" seem to be the only viable options here. Switch does not work consistently, soft/hard hedge will suck you into the ballhandler for seconds letting the roll man open every time without help rotation and ICE simply does not trigger. No hedge is bugged, too.


Pre-Rotate has no effect in this game and does not trigger.


Offball and Onball Defense settings sometimes work and I usually set non shooters to gap for both and one or two good shooters of the opponent to tight. Leave him, again, does not work. Help defender will sprint back to his man as soon as the ballhandler approaches him.


Double Team: If there is one really really really good player (Harden and such) I sometimes set him on double. Again, this option is limited. Double on drive only doubles SOMETIMES when he drives, double on catch requires that the player gets passed the ball, making it useless against PGs as they dribble the ball up the court.


What I like to set is "force direction" to baseline as that will make your AI close out in a way that they rather give up the baseline than the middle.

i am on PC, so old gen. for screen help rules i use help and no rotation, but basically i would want help AND rotation. but this Option is no existing.

defender skills should not be the case why it is Not working. i have/had elite defenders like siakam, Gobert, Turner, Paul, oladipo and such in my Teams...
