PS5 because of much larger player base, easier to find games online solo.



If you wanna play with friends of course pick the platform they are on. Friends should always be the main criteria when choosing between PS5 and XSX.

I seldom play online. And I dun play RPG games (heard ps5 is good with that). The other game I play is probably Tekken7 (online copy). And I got xbox kinect. I'm unable to connect my airpods to my current xbox 1 console.

If I go with xbox series x, does anyone know if I can still play Tekken7 and games using the kinect and listen to audio by connecting my airpods?

Both systems have big enough player counts that this isn’t even a concern.

False. nba 2k on ps4/ps5 has twice larger userbase than xbox nba 2k.

for example it takes much easier to achieve greatest of all time in play now online if you are playing on xbox because most decent and great players are on the superior platform which is ps4/ps5.

This is so stupidly false.

1) They don't breakdown the sales numbers of the game by platform.

2) There's no cross-platform play, so there's no way to determine which group are the "better" players.

3) There's literally enough players on both platforms where you can play everyday in whatever mode, play multiple games, and not encounter the same gamertag twice.

4) This comment was probably made by someone that never owned an Xbox, so how would they even know what the matchmaking is even like?

Another reason why I don't like this question. It only invites fanboy comments.

Yep. Also, Sim-World will be back doing rosters and sliders on the Series X side this year. If I were choosing based on rosters, that would tip the scale for me in the Series X favor.

(MOST DECENT & GREAT PLAYERS)

(SUPERIOR PLATFORM)

A constant need to define their console of choice as superior - always feeling the need to declare mines is better than yours

what the OP and some of you guys in here have is a good problem to have, having both next gen consoles. deciding which console to buy a game on shouldn't be one of them
especially a sports game which are usually the same experience on any...whatever we can tell you, you already know.....

what I am hoping would be a thing is if a performance mode makes it into this year's IP

Do we assume the max FPS are the same across both consoles? I typically buy xsx but playing the nhl 22 beta this week I love the haptics. I have an Oled so I want to best performance I can get obviously etc.

I have 2K21 on both Next Gen consoles, and imo, they're not the same. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, because they both have subtle differences, not enough to recommend one over the other.

I think the color pallet on one is different or something and I'm running the same settings on my C9.

For the people who have "actually" played both, you should state it, to eliminate people just posting for obvious reasons.

Someone should ask this question to Mike Wang on Twitter. AS of right now, I'm assuming 60 FPS at 4K for the PS5/XBSX.

You may be right. I hadn't played my Series X but a few times since launch, I tried MLB The Show and was surprised how well it performed. The game actually looks very well on the Series X. I think 2K just looks washed out on both consoles.
