NBA 2K22, the next iteration of the leading basketball simulation series, is taking on a new level of realism by adding every NBA team's Public Address Announcer in-game. Revealed in a content series that lifts the curtains on the voices behind the mic of home arenas, ballers will be able to listen to the real life play-by-play commentary from legendary announcers including Tommy Edwards (Chicago Bulls), Mike Walczewski (New York Knicks), Matt Cord (Philadelphia 76ers) and more.

“After last year, I think we all have a renewed appreciation for the noise and cheers that fill an NBA arena each night,” said Mike Walczewski, Public Address Announcer for the New York Knicks. “With the style and enthusiasm of every team’s PA announcer now in the game, I truly feel that NBA 2K22 players will experience the thrill and the drama of stepping onto their home-court firsthand.”

That's awesome! Ideally, for this to be perfect, every announcer needs to record every player's name for both home (enthusiast) and road (casual voice) teams. I wonder if that was achievable. And if that's the case, then I wonder if this feature is on all versions of the game (might take some more disc space for all the audio files).

Shouldn’t be that hard given they only need to say each name once, granted that’s 30 people having to record hundreds of names. I still wonder about classic teams though.

This is really cool! However... I have a bad feeling that "and this game... Is tied" will trigger every single time the game is tied and not in big moments like he actually does it... [emoji23]

Sure sounds amazing but only makes me wonder what will happen in your franchise mode, what happens when new players get on the team, will they just be announced as a number ? Will they not be announced at all ? Or did they record for all the possible names in the game ?

At the 0:49 mark of the Mavs PA Twitter video, you can see they've done something to the 2000's Dirk.

Yeah that 2000s Dirk looks pretty good at first glance. Glad to see they gave young Dirk some love too. Hopefully this means other legends have been touched up as well.

Well, looks like it's fully on like...Mike! Special classic announcer for the Bulls at least. Knicks showed off Starks so hopefully for those fans it's the way it was called back then. Really wonder they showed almost every single team except the Rockets...

I won’t lie. This is really cool! Great move ! I’m pretty old school so to hear the Lakers announcer say “Worthy” or the Knicks guy say “Ewing” is pretty exciting. I thought the Bulls announcer back in the day was Ray Clay?

I love it. I went on and placed my preorder for the cross gen bundle after this. I normally wait until the MyLeague/MyNBA stuff is releases but this is exactly the kind of stuff that adds value to my biggest mode MyNBA. Well done. Sucks for my Hawks but oh well. I just hope crowd noise and atmosphere is touched on as well.
