Just when I think 2K has maxed out what they can do with the game, they take it up a notch again! 2K is the model all other sports game developers should follow. This is the blueprint on how to maximize a sports license. Very cool indeed!

I agree

I know it has been said that we are seeing diminishing returns with all these sports games and that most peaked. But, this is the type of additions that take it to the next level. With sports games, it's almost hard to stay innovative after you get to a certain point outside of adding new modes. That's when you stay adding these non-back of box features that add realism to the game. But improving overall sounds is the next thing they should focus on.

I wouldn't expect team broadcasters, that would be a little too much. But more like you seen in the Sixers PA video where you add team specific pre-game traditions. Get live arena sounds like with Live 10 to get more team crowd chants. Stuff like that where you actually feel you are watching a TV broadcast or that you're actually in a game in a TV arena

Nah it's changed...which I do wish 2k would implement CUSTOM arena sounds BACK so we can just add our REAL intro music.

Seeing the Boston video for this might be enough to push me for a Day 1 buy. I'm kind of a sucker for little things like this. The gameplay blog yesterday was enough to get me interested (hope the defense works as good as it sounds) this is like a little icing on the cake.

As a Kings fan our PA guy was answering questions on twitter. Says he did this for over a year and a half. Did names for every player in the league. So if you trade for someone they can get the same treatment. Also did names in several different ways.

If this is true for every team this is a HUGE W 2k.

I was worried about this as soon as I saw this announcement and man… that would be freaking great…

2K showed Shawn Sullivan for the Pacers in the full trailer so you guys will still have a PA announcer, but it'll obviously be outdated for this year. I just posted the tweet because of the funny timing
