It’s an exact 1:1 face scan, lol.

The sideburn part of his beard on the left side of his face is identical (the little line of hair that sticks out). Absolutely nothing has changed with KD and I know for a fact because his overall head shape is the same.

My mistake. I took a closer look. Definitely the same scan. You know 2K18 had a better looking KD scan IMO. They even had his head shape right.

I totally agree. When they released his new face scan last year, I was like “wow this looks super spot on” but then when I saw the back of his head, it was really off/too flat and normal haha.

Only if we can combine old head shape and new face scan, it would honestly be perfect. But I guess we can’t have everything lol

It appears from the two videos that I’ve seen of jumpshot defense, that there is still a huge delay.
It seems you have to contest the shot before the player decides to take the shot.
Hopefully, this is just for demonstration purposes and not like it has been for years, where you hit the stick or button to contest and then seconds later, after the shot is released, your input will register.

His expression, there was something off on previous versions.
            Now, it looks like him.

Makes me wonder if each player model has only a face scan on a preset body.
Dunno, it might e expensive to scan a player to scale for body proportions to
put on a frame for gameplay animation?

With all the craziness tho, I must say I'm enjoying watching the evolution of this game.

modding on PC, i can tell that each player has his own body (even if its often copy and paste)
so 2K could scan all the bodies and put them in the game

That's exactly how they've been doing it. Not sure it is feasible for them to do unique body types/scans for 500+ models.

Or that players would be interested in that possibly more time consuming process.

Maybe after another console cycle or two that would be possible?

They could still do a better job with the bodies of the players. The players don't look like athletes if that makes sense. They definitely don't look like basketball players. They look more cartoonish than anything. Proportions are all out of whack. You don't need to scan an entire body to get the proportions correct.

Not agreeing or disagreeing with that sentiment, but the reality is that it isn't a high priority for 2K/VC.

Hopefully it does become one and the issues with body types and proportions can be addressed.

And I was right with y'all fighting this fight (a few years ago), but the reality is 2K doesn't seem to see it as a big problem. Or they don't want to allocate the time and resources to fix the issues.
