I'm still getting it Day 1. At this point, I'm just like "Whatever". If I take the time to wait for reviews and actual videos, I'm still going to want to experience the game for myself and form my own opinion. Most people's videos and opinions is going to be based on the MyPlayer mode anyways. Truthfully, the reason why I enjoy this forum so much is because there are other people outside of the popular modes that can give different opinions regarding the game. Obviously, my focus will be mainly PNO, OTF coaching experience, defense, and shooting with the RS.

Completely agree about the community here. There are quibbles between the "complainers" and the "2K shills" but it's a passionate group here that ultimately just wants the best virtual basketball/NBA experience. Wouldn't go anywhere else for some fair and honest feedback.Comment

Sounds like you'll be one of the go to people I'll be looking for come Friday. Don't be surprised if I'm asking you questions and looking for feedback about the game.

Re: NBA 2K22 Menu but same gameplay
Haha, I must’ve been the only person who liked dribbling in 2k21. Felt like it had more flow, as opposed to feeling jittery. Mainly though I’ve never been big into right-stick wizardry, but for the first time I felt I could actually handle a bit in 2k21. Like, you know if you’re sprinting one way (left or right) then press the opposite direction on the right stick, you’ll flow into hard crossover through the legs? How do you do that in 2k20?

Re: NBA 2K22 Menu but same gameplay
I hope they made tons of improvements to the mode, but, I also understand that My Career/Park/Rec/Online modes are their priority at this point.
MyNBA is still the deepest franchise mode for any sports game (2K and the NHL series are unmatched in this regard) so I'm hoping they have something up their sleeve for us offline players to take it to the next level.Games I'm playing FOREVER: NFL2K5, That is all.Comment

I'm with you. 2k21's dribbling felt so natural to me I actually feel 2k22 will be more of an adjustment than usual. The long presses and chain moves felt smooth to me. Prelude would have come in handy this year especially, lol

Guarantee it doesn’t make it to 2K23 or gets heavily patched.Comment

As always though, make it an option that can be toggled on or off and I'm cool with whatever you want to add, so long as the game still works with the option toggled off.Comment

The dunk meter seems so stupid. We need to see more gameplay, the game comes out in 3 days like wtf.Comment

Re: NBA 2K22 Menu but same gameplay
I am 100 percent not pumped about the notion of having to time certain dunks. At some point, you lose a lot of the feel of basketball when every motion is turned into a meter-based mini-game.

Re: NBA 2K22 Menu but same gameplay
EDIT: Now, that I mentioned it. Why in the hell would you give players' the option to pull off a high degree difficult dunk in traffic via a mini game? Crap like that encourages low basketball IQ decisions.Last edited by ksuttonjr76; 09-07-2021, 07:37 PM.Comment

I actually feel like that's the case for most sports games. If it wasn't for EA Play and the early access program I'm not sure we'd see much gameplay for the EA games either.Comment
