Re: PA announcers : can we get some sort of clarification?
I’m on series x…just got off work. I still have generic announcers. Did they not drop the perch for series x to? This is annoyingComment

They’re in the game on Series S. I can confirm that. There’s really no comparison between the generic and the actual announcers. I had to manually download the update and then they were in.

Re: PA announcers : can we get some sort of clarification?
Being a Heat fan, I immediately booted up a Miami Heat game and heard all of Michael Baiamonte's signature calls. It's awesome. The same applied to both the 05-06 and 12-13 Miami Heat teams.
Fired up some Knick games with the 94-95 Knicks and 11-12 Knicks and instantly heard Walczewski's "3 point goal."
I'm glad they had it fixed, though it's sad that it took a patch to get it right. Might have been a late addition? Anyways, they definitely work on the PS5 version after the patch.Comment

Works for me on Xbox Series X, love hearing the Knicks PA announcer! I'm curious how many names they recorded and if that will include draft classes/CAP's... I also wonder if they did an exciting/boring call for each guy in the game? Sounds like a ton of work but it's such a cool addition!Go Knicks
Go Bills
Go NY Rangers
Go Mets
Go Michigan
Go Arizona

Re: PA announcers : can we get some sort of clarification?
Thanks for all the posts in here...the PA announcers were 'the' biggest selling point for me, so I just got the game on PS5 after all your confirmations.
I play season mode only...and I turn off the commentary (way too repetitive).
I have my PS5 hooked up to a fairly nice audio system with big rear speakers behind my couch. The arena audio is a big thing atmosphere wise for me.
Tested it just now in four different arenas and the PA guys are there and sound GREAT (adjust the settings a bit to have them 100 / crowd 70).
Really adds a lot. I can confirm they are all in season mode, for those interested. Will make playing a season much more fun, with road trips really immersive hearing the different PA guys each time.Comment

Well, Michael Baiamonte (Heat PA) read off the names of each Bucks starter in dull cadence right now on the first game of the MyNBA season...
Then made a trade, Kyle Lowry for D'Angelo Russell, and sure enough, our PA announcer read out D'Angelo Russell in his personal style!
EDIT: In a different save than the one above, further experimenting: Traded Bam Adebayo for Kris Middleton, and Jimmy Butler for Shai Gilgeous Alexander.
Heat PA gave Bam the dull introduction, Middleton and SGA the full Miami-style exited line readings.
My only complaint is that the stadium PA player introductions don't happen frequently enough! They're much less often than any of the music-video style introductions.Last edited by YabaDaba; 09-10-2021, 10:11 PM.Comment
