Re: No Broadcast camera on MyNBA??? (Update: Workaround found)
BTW it's not just the missing cameras, it's the fact that you can't configure any of the settings for the available cameras. None of the cameras are zooming in when the ball goes into the key.Comment

Re: No Broadcast camera on MyNBA??? (Update: Workaround found)
It’d be awesome if these guys that claimed they were getting rid of the game actually did what they said……. Cut your losses, sell it and never buy another one from this company that has done you so wrong for so many years……. Such an easy solution to save u guys the stress, guess u guys really just like to punish yourselves [emoji23] 🤦🏻*♂️

Re: No Broadcast camera on MyNBA??? (Update: Workaround found)
I know. Got a decade+ experience in the software dev space. Both writing the code & the processes involved in getting things to market/in users' hands (notice how those are two separate categories). It's nowhere as simple as people think, from either side of the argument here. The $1 million question. I've been criticized by some here for saying this, but again, at this time 2K even claimed that it WILL FIX IT!
They just say "we know about the problem and will be covered in future patches".
As I said before, it could be tomorrow, or 3 months or 6 months. Today, it's 7 days since the game was released.
Not that there's anything special in having that experience. There could be other folks here with it too. But if they have the experience, they know what thorough testing looks like (admittedly difficult sometimes); what rushed testing looks like. They know what 'kicking the can' looks like, versus continuous integration - even if delivery (to users) is delayed due to having to wait for verification from an outside party.
They know how it feels to be suffocated by methodology babble & questions go unanswered; or (luckily), to be a part of a team where retro issues get moved thru the pipeline, communication is open & things are fun. They especially know about the process of how a dev finds out what they are working on next. This could vary company to company, team to team. I'll say it again here tho, it's almost assuredly not "compliant -> code"
I don't know how VC structures their pipelines to get stuff from issue (thing that needs code. Could be a bug, could be a new feature) => production (on your device). Think I could take a guess at it, but that's not the same as knowing.
I'm just personally baffled how something like adjustable cameras in one mode go haywire the way things are in MyNBA. They dropped the ball on that one, no way around it. Either code there was edited & not reported (or even found in automated checks somehow), or it was caught, flagged, and moved down the backlog (list of issues) by the people who manage the backlog (typically not a dev)
So yea, folks being pissed is understood. No way of knowing if the right people know that tho. They're almost never public-facing. Even if they were, it'd be in an unofficial capacity & they most likely can't choose what to code anyway.Comment

Re: No Broadcast camera on MyNBA??? (Update: Workaround found)
Once the game starts, go to options. Select controller settings. Player lock is the first option. Select point guard or any position. Back out and go to cameras. You can now select broadcast and either broadcast zoom or broadcast low. Select whatever one you like best and back out. Save your camera settings even though it won't stick. Go back to options-controller settings and switch player lock back to none. Now you can play MyNBA in some form of broadcast. It takes about 30 seconds.

I don't doubt it, they've done it several times over the last few years!

Ummmmm....does everyone realize that there is only two broadcast cameras?Once the game starts, go to options. Select controller settings. Player lock is the first option. Select point guard or any position. Back out and go to cameras. You can now select broadcast and either broadcast zoom or broadcast low. Select whatever one you like best and back out. Re: No Broadcast camera on MyNBA??? (Update: Workaround found)
The workaround (not the same thing) has only been a detriment to us offline players, so the patch for this bug will be slow in comingWriting here helps me distract myself from real life.

Re: No Broadcast camera on MyNBA??? (Update: Workaround found)
Yeah, I did. I hope broadcast stadium is still there but it's just screwed up right now. In certain arenas using the workaround you can only select broadcast zoom or broadcast low but not both. I'm hoping it means broadcast stadium is still there but who knows.

Re: No Broadcast camera on MyNBA??? (Update: Workaround found)
Exactly. I’m trying to use this garbage “workaround” to bide time but it’s just.. garbage. I’d rather it not be there entirely if it has any chance of slowing down a real patch.
Technically we’re on the third patch since launch. #5 is probably our best hope.
Yeah the latest one (whichever that is).Comment

Re: No Broadcast camera on MyNBA??? (Update: Workaround found)
On top of all this, why the ffff did they remove Broadcast Generic from 22. The perfect angle on 21.
Also whose bright idea was it to alter the angle on broadcast on player lock. Why would player lock need an isometric angle. At least if the “workaround” was the real camera angle, it would be playable.Comment

Man, I hope they have sense enough to bring back broadcast generic when and if they fix this. This angle missing is a real killer to a game I’m otherwise enjoying.
