That is from a MyNba game I played on Friday or Saturday. It is on broadcast cam. I didn’t have to do anything other then start the game. I am on Next gen

I’m pretty sure it’s cause the online game is using the player-lock style fake broadcast.

Which would be another weird layer of glitches here. So online MyNBA does give an option for broadcast without doing the player lock “workaround,” but it gives you the player lock “workaround” version?

The mode is unplayable for guys like me.

The mode is playable for 2K cam users.

Broadcast users are left without the game they paid for and desire, for now. It’s not brain surgery.

You defenders of the lost cam can wag a semantics finger at us all you want. Fact is we’re unable to play the game we want to play. Simply put. You don’t like to hear it, choose your time more wisely. Cause it doesn’t affect you and here you are letting it invade upon your energy.

We know what y’all are trying to do. Trying to get this thread locked because it oddly affects your honeymoon period. Here’s a better idea, ignore it.

I haven't been around much for 2K launch since other life obligations have been taking center stage, but I should be more around now, so allow me to just provide a little context here after the fact as, well, one of the bosses.

I have not read every single post in said thread, but ya know, I've been around this place and generally know how these sorts of threads go.

To be clear, we probably wouldn't close the thread if it came to it, we would just ban you and the other party if needed. This isn't a threat (this is a message board, I do not need to go on power trips to get my rocks off), rather we would do it that way because this is a real problem, and folks deserve to know how to use some form of a workaround while also discussing the problem and where it's going. But, at the same time, there's a limit to these things.

To be doubly clear, obviously none of us want to ban you because y'all would already be banned if we did. Again, this is a real issue, and it does deserve a real fix. It's appreciated that it was brought up.

That said, beating the drum in this specific spot does no good after a certain point. I hope you (both) realize that (and everyone does as well) and understand that because there is driving discourse, and then there is just being one-note.

Lastly, those saying a "workaround" is only slowing down a patch for a fix need to just quiet that part of their brain and mouth down. Not only is it incredibly cynical on a whole other level, do not give other community members a hard time for trying to help out those who want some form of a broadcast camera or try to then make them out as a villain or something. What 2K does or does not do, does not come down to community members trying to help others out here on OS. Don't be that person. Be the opposite of that person.

What I find most interesting about an agenda to paint people pointing out such a game breaking issue to them (in a thread dedicated to it, at that), is imagine if 2K cam was missing from MyCareer. You don’t think it would be a topic in every single 2K thread 100% of the time? Reddit would blow up. Actually 2K’s Reddit currently is blowing up as it seems there are glitches that are making the game literally or fundamentally unplayable for tons of users. These avenues are where people come to voice any issues concerning the game. Right now the most prevalent one is bugs.

And if you read through the thread, you’ll see nobody is “attacking” the fact that a “workaround” is pointed out. We just would like the wording “workaround” to be used more carefully as “workaround” insinuates that the exact camera we’re missing is available, which isn’t the case. We have zero idea whether a “workaround” being available would slow down 2K’s efforts to fix it. Once again, this is the same 2K who said they didn’t touch gameplay when nearly every member both here and on Reddit state each patch resulted in considerable gameplay changes. Which we still have no explanation for. Which is especially “interesting” considering the reason used for not getting to the broadcast issue yet is because it’s an offline issue. Yet offline gameplay changed.

You can ban as you see fit. But in no way do I think people annoyed with this issue are being unreasonable or out of line. Let’s go one day without 2K cam in MC and see how the tone compares.

I have two controllers, so I went into MyNBA and tried controlling both teams and checking the camera.

Weirdly...Broadcast Cam was not there at all with the 'workaround'. Not even the messed up one I normally get with the "workaround".

However...DRIVE Cam was there. I am sure I did not see it before.

Anyway, someone asked earlier re two controllers so I thought I would try.

I am not a tech guy...I have no idea. Seems weird a camera 'bug' would take this long to fix, but who knows...

Please don't make excuses for how "workaround" is being used as a dirty word. I have seen those posts, and there is definitely more than a whiff of peeps being angry "workaround" is even being mentioned. It's a bad look to give off those vibes. Nor do you need to make strawman arguments for how things would change if another camera was broken. These are bad arguments to make, and you shouldn't make them.

Your voice has been heard. You and others can continue to make said point, but the idea that "the court is the one out of order" or that your tone and tenor hasn't been off at points is incorrect here. I already said I would go out of my way not to ban you because the core issue here does matter and does need to be fixed -- I agree with you that "these avenues" need to be here to bring these things up -- so you don't need to even say "ban as you see fit" because it just comes off like you want to be banned to be a martyr or banned to prove that people here don't actually care about the issue.

It should be relatively clear now what's going to fly and what won't. I will fall back for now, and I hope things can be copacetic now.

(This goes for others as well. I'm not trying to make this more of a thing than it needs to be. This is me coming in to give the general feedback that needs to be out there, otherwise stay on said topic. No one else really needs to chime in with further thoughts on what the proper "etiquette" here is or should be for how to discuss the problem or the discourse around it. Hi dirk, hope all is well. I've opted for 2k cam while I'm waiting for broadcast to be fixed. I've even gone as far as to delve into myteam which has been not too bad so far.

Just a quick question, but is there any workaround you know of for the high number of offensive rebounds currently?

Not sure, but I manually control a guy to box out. Works well.

Long time listener, first time poster in years. The solution to this cam issue is just switch to Nosebleed angle.

It's quite possibly the greatest camera angle in any hoops game i've ever played, give it a try and ten games of play and you'll never switch back.

Long time listener, first time poster in years. The solution to this cam issue is just switch to Nosebleed angel.

It's quite possibly the greatest camera angle in any hoops game i've ever played, give it a try and ten games of play and you'll never switch back.

its unbeliveble that i bought the game almost 2 weeks ago and i still didnt played the game....


CMON 2K!!!! if u released the game then give us the freaking camera to play!
