Re: Nba2k22 turning off the console (Xbox series X)
I don't mind waiting for a patch since the Series X consoles are so hard to come by right now, the PS5 controller is too small to fit my hands, and there are at least some modes that do work consistently:
MyCareer 5v5
Park 2v2 & 3v3
MyTeam 3v3 offline
Pro Am 3v3
I just wish I had more 5v5 modes that worked because I'm a 5v5 player at heart and playing all this 3v3 in the past week has really reminded me how much of an unstrategic and kid friendly mode it is, in that you barely have to know anything about basketball to have success. And after you've played a dozen 3v3 games you've basically seen everything that could possibly happen in them since its strategic options are so limited offensively/defensively compared to 5v5.Comment

Man! I've been playing the Triple Threat mode too. Are you able to play online? I have been able too, and I just chalked it to the fact that the games are not that long. 3v3 where you control a team is definitely not my cup of tea. I'm getting consistently blown out, lol. People mainly play offball, and it feels like it's too easy to get to the rim.
You can kill off-ballers just by turboing down the court and shooting off a quick stop & pop or a simple right-stick stepback (the AI won't step up in time to contest either of those moves).
Or if you can get an open drive or slip to the basket, the off-ball AI will always leave its man to run into the paint and give up an open catch & shoot three.
I just don't see how 2K thought it'd be a good idea to make the TTO rewards defense-based when that mode has the most open court space to defend, the most arcadey gameplay sliders, and the least amount of defensive settings (literally zero) in MyTeam.Last edited by jyoung; 09-17-2021, 03:22 PM.Comment

Re: Nba2k22 turning off the console (Xbox series X)
Have not bought it yet for my series X until this is fixed but I have a question. Can you play let’s say the “solo” part of myPlayer without shutting down? Is it related mainly to the online ganes or does it also shut down just doing the single player portion of the game as online is always required as well?Last edited by [Icy]; 09-19-2021, 03:29 AM.Comment

It can't be overheating. I can play online with random people on MyTeam all day long I can play the CPU on MyTeam all day and every other game I've ever tried I only crash when playing Play Now with a friend by inviting them and playing a game. It does it randomly for no reason hard crash turns off the Xbox.Comment

There's a link on the website, but it'll probably be denied if you use the link. I would recommend calling them. I was planning to refund my game, but buy the cross-gen bundle, so I could play current gen for the time being.Comment

The refund acceptance for 2k22 is 100% guaranteed according to the operator I spoke to, as long as the 14 days aren't upComment
