Re: NBA 2K22 - The Little Things
When they are dribbling up the court and signaling. Has anyone seen the Draymond Green kind of jumping and directing while dribbling the ball? Did they have this last year? A very nice touch.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: NBA 2K22 - The Little Things
Playing in Memphis it's cool to see number 50 jerseys in the crowd for Zach Randolph. Seeing legends like Dirks 41 in Dallas or Wade's number 3 in Miami is one thing, but it's cool to see lower tier guys get some love as well.

Re: NBA 2K22 - The Little Things
This post is carried over from the video thread but these are all relevant here. Just upgraded to next gen (PS5) after playing 2k20 for the longest I've ever played a 2k as I basically skipped 2k21. And wow...2k always had a knack for the little details but I don't know if it's just the bump in graphics or the honeymoon phase or what...but this game feels so ALIVE. Taking your eyes off the play for a second and you can key in on some really cool details.
Playing as the Suns, four moments in two small 7 min-quarter games really stood out to me.
First, the fact that I didn't even have to go into a dribble sequence to create space like this is absolutely amazing, and just how CP would shake the defender IRL

2nd, in these two clips I controlled Payne in the first clip and the CPU controlled Payne in the second. I LOVE how if you're too overaggressive as a ballhandler then certain players can actually DRAW A CHARGE on the move! This was something that was sorely lacking in previous titles and boy does it feel good to actually get that call

I love the subtle emotion on players' faces reacting to calls. (Also peep Jokic getting them digits from honey in the back)

Finally, a simple foul call, but Jeff Green's reaction here had me dying for at least 3 minutes

Re: NBA 2K22 - The Little Things
I just noticed something new to me this year last week when I was playing. One of my players made hard contact, and the other team's player (can't recall who it was) was jawing at him and it became a bit intense. I wish I took replay of the little interaction
Also, side note FOR REAL the injury cutscenes are so realistic it is insane. One of my players on the Knicks Kemba Walker injured his ankle on a drive to the rim. The next play he stayed down on the floor while the sequence continued until the next stoppage of play. The next cutscene showed the team escorting him to the locker room and announcing his injury. The next game it shows in the menu that Kemba was injured with a high ankle sprain.
The reference and what I am about to say here is a very hot take for a lot of you, but this year's 2K game has the look of NBA Live 2020 with Embiid on the cover. The graphics in that game were unreal, and 2K has matched that qualityLast edited by sportomatic75; 09-28-2021, 09:30 PM.Comment

NBA 2K22 - The Little Things
Very small detail , I was shooting around in 2KU (just a shooter and the 2 guys grabbing rebounds) and the player adjusted his sleeve (animation). I’ve seen this in game but never in practice. Not a game but practice.
Animation seems to be triggered when pressing up on both the left stick and right stick to shoot

Re: NBA 2K22 - The Little Things
I was watching a replay of an alley to John Collins from Trae Young. It may be because Collins shoes are glossy, but I never noticed that the shoes flex and bend and twist as players turn and jump. That's crazy detail.

Re: NBA 2K22 - The Little Things
Little guys register less of a shot coverage when defending bigs. That went away for a little bit.
These little mid range animations are really nice.

Re: NBA 2K22 - The Little Things
Never seen this before. There was actual collision detection between these two players after a whistle was blown. Usually, the animations just clip through each other if they're too close. That happened often since fouling is you know, close contact.

Re: NBA 2K22 - The Little Things
Interesting. I just noticed something similar. Have a look at this. Not sure if its an animation or just organic physics engine stuff.
Either way, ref didn't call it. Typical Heat game.
