    Re: NBA 2K22 Useful Findings

Offensive play calling is bugged. Have tried everything. Teams only run plays for two guys only on the court. For example Magic only run plays for Fultz and Suggs. Even when I make drastic changes to touch tendency it will just revert to call plays for two other players constantly. I was reading in the thread, I tried putting everyone on 50 that didn't work either.
    Has anyone found a fix?
For me Freelance is the best way to play for now and hope for a fix. https://youtu.be/qOK0Oi5rGOM

Weird, I don’t see that with my Touch Tendency changes. Did you try editing Fultz’s Touch Tendency to 10 while other players at 40/50? Like I mentioned before, there’s a different scaling system for PGs in Touch Tendency.

Unfortunately the only fix to have been found was found by Vannwolfhawk. The fix is to use standard playbook for teams. It sucks because teams will all have the same plays but you will finally see touches matter. Idk if it is the same for other generic playbooks like User, Midnight, Team 1-6 and etc.

I've tried methods like this and still no prevail.

Ok, I'll try this. Appreciate it. This method really stinks too. Lots of good plays that I would still like to use.

A lot of the default team playbooks are missing certain plays. If you assign John Collins of the Atlanta Hawks a Low Post for his Play 1, you will notice that the Hawks Playbook doesn’t even have a Low Post play and therefore they won’t run a Low Post play even though you assign John Collins a Low Post play… SMH 2K roster maker

Yeah, there's a lot of that. We usually overhaul every single playbook. We have tested every play to know which ones work and don't.
Btw that method of fixing makes sense. I remember last year i had to switch the "Lakers" playbook to standard because it would only do post ups.

I’m thinking of adding at least one standard post-up play, guard post-up play, mid-range play, high-post play, iso play for each team’s playbook in order to ensure that every team has at least one of these plays to run if a player has them assigned.

The method doesn't work. I just tested it. Tried putting the magic playbook to standard and they still run plays for Fultz and Suggs. Nobody else. Tried some other playbooks such as user and freelance practice. Believe there's no fix.

A lot of people have talked about custom rosters. So what is like the best one on ps5?

                        Re: NBA 2K22 Useful Findings

I’ve done some testings and found out that the Shoot Tendency plays a big part on how the opposing CPU team runs their offense and in order for you to see more plays and variations, you will have to ensure that the highest Shot Tendency attribute is at 80 and no higher for the main player or players of their team.

Example: Lebron’s Shot Tendency in the Default 2K roster was at 95, and as soon as I lowered it to 80, I saw other players being more involved in the offense and FGA and for everyone on the Lakers was quite realistic. So what I did next was that I ensure that 80 was the highest number given for the top players of each team for Shot Tendency. Everyone else, role players etc was below 80, no one was at 80 besides the main/top player or players of their team.

It’s like the roster creator at 2K don’t understand the numbers they input in the tendency attributes and that if the number is too high, it’ll be too over powering and affect the gameplay. Lebron, Tray Young and others are too OP because their Touch and Shot Tendency is too high therefore when you play against them, the CPU would run 99% of the team’s offense through them to score and you will not see their teammates get involved in the offense nor put up shots.

Combine this with my Touch Tendency methodology, I’m getting quite fun and realistic stats now in terms of FGA across the board for the opposing CPU and seeing more variation on offense displayed.

Tested this method and it doesn't work. Shot tendency doesn't matter for offensive play calling. Lowered shot tendency for Fultz and Suggs to 0. Still all plays called for them.

Yes they there will be some plays called for them even at 0 but it’s not as much as before with the default values, at least with my game. Odd the issue is persistent for your game.

I haven't tested in 2k22, but in past 2ks I've been under the impression that Shot Tendency (and Mid Range and 3pt) don't matter for gameplay, only for sim stats, and that it's the other more specific/niche tendencies that impact gameplay.

No, it's every play. Every play is called for Fultz and Suggs at shot tendency 0. Zar claims the system works to go to the "best two players." So, this is done on purpose. And it's really senseless. Teams run action/plays for pretty much all players.
